Works as it should. We followed the setup manual and so I think that that played a large role in it functioning properly. We have it currently set up in the living room and it easily cools 700 sq feet, likely more it given the chance, making the house comfortable to stay in even in 100+ degrees outside. Makes a huge difference and is worth every penny. It isn't very quiet but you can easily hear the TV and partner over it. It doesn't take up a tone of room and is super easy to move around as needed.

I live in an apartment and last year the wall unit I had quit putting out cold air. I refused to go another summer without air conditioning so I ordered this one. I love it! 97° and miserably hot outside and a nice comfortable 70° in my apartment. When I go to bed I switch it to fan mode keeping the apartment nice and cool all night. My apartment is 700 square feet and the ac doesn't struggle-it cools the whole place. Best money I ever speant.

The unit arrived quickly. It is very heavy, so be aware if you plan to set it up yourself. The instructions also state that if it is tipped more than 45 degrees, then it will need to set upright for 24hrs before powering it on. This has something to do with the oil draining out of the compressor (or something of that nature). Once out of the package it was easy to set up. The window kit is easy to install and everything went together in about 10 minutes. At first it was not cooling. It was blowing air, but not colder than the fan function. I finally figured out that I had it plugged into an outlet that didn't have enough or the right kind of power (not sure? I live in an old house) But I moved the unit to a different window and a different outlet and it started cooling immediately. You can hear the compressor kick on after about a minute and there was hot air blowing out of the window vent, so I new I had figured it out. It worked beautifully and cooled 2 rooms of my apartment with no problem. It might actually cool the entire living space (my apt occupies the upstairs level of the house), but I haven't tried that yet. The only down side is how loud it is. I currently have it in my bedroom, right beside my bed, and I am definitely going to relocate it again at some point. It doesn't bother me when I sleep, but it is difficult to hear the television or my phone with it's placement right now. Great purchase for the price. Highly recommend!

Best thing I could get for my room with no accessible big window, at a good price. It actually functions very well for its price as well. It’s probably a bit noisier than a more expensive one, but I’m OK with that. It makes the room quite cold with little effort. I do wish the remote had an LCD display though. It even comes with a very detailed instruction book.

I looked at and reviewed many portable air conditioners on Amazon. I was very Leary buying this HomeCom because it is a frequently returned item. I had doubts because, although there a many positive reviews the bad reviews are very bad. I also decided to order this because I was offered a $20 discount at checkout plus next day delivery. As soon as I ordered the unit the delivery date was changed to a week out. I tried to cancel but was unable. Keep in mind I bought this from a third party seller and not Amazon. This was another mistake. Coincidentally after I tried to cancel the delivery date was changed to the next day. I did receive it the next day. I have had two other portable air conditioners over the years and this one was the absolute worst for installation. After struggling and using moving tape to hold the exhaust hose in place I plugged it in and it worked fine for 2 days! The unit shut down with the error code F6 which in the HVAC world is a temperature sensor. I contacted Amazon but since I purchased from a third party I was advised to contact them and have them troubleshoot the problem. I went on to explain I didn’t think anyone can troubleshoot and fix a bad sensor over the phone. I also learned that this third party’s return is you have to take this to UPS. I advised Amazon, who was very helpful, I was unable to take a 70 lb package to UPS. Amazon contacted the third party while I was on the phone. I received an email from the third party advising FedEx would pick up the unit. This would have been much worse had Amazon not intervened. The same day this unit stopped working I ordered a Black and Decker portable air conditioner from Amazon, not a third party. I’m sure this unit works fine when it’s not defective. I understand why this is frequently returned.

Love the new air conditioner, so much easier than taking them in and out of the window every year However, ours is a bit small for the area we need we bought a 10 what we need is more like an 18+ for the area Also, people might need to know that The tube draining the water needs a large place or a bucket to drain into. You would be surprised at how much water is in the air with these humid days. It’s crazy. We ended up buying a Condenser for our second one so it can drain out the window Other than that, the ease of using these are great just make sure you get one large enough for your rooms

It didn’t work for My Daughter‘s room well . The room is tiny and it only keeps 1/4 of the other room cool When the tubing doesn’t fall out

Nice little indoor A.C. cooled down my Apt in about 1 hr Highly recommend if you have a small living space. Delivered sooner than expected too. Very Happy with unit 🙂

Once it’s installed corrected and put together, the AC works perfect. There is very minimal noise. I have it in the living room and I don’t have to adjust the TV volume higher at all since some ACs are noisy. Makes the apartment cold. I love this, buy it

I found this unit very quiet. I found That this size of unit was great for A bedroom. Easy to put together. I am very pleased with my purchase Of this unit.

Bought this for our bedroom during the hot days during summer in Quebec, Canada. Works great. Was easy to assemble and install. It doesn’t make too much noise. We were able to sleep good at night while it was on. Kept the room nice and cool during the day. Good buy for the price!

Unfortunately, I do not recommend this product! It does not have a water pan, you have to attach a hose and place it in a bucket! The hose constantly falls out and water goes everywhere! Not a good set up at all. I now have mine taped. Esthetically looks HORRIBLE
