It is not required, however we do recommend using our EPDM Rinse Cleaner. The cleaner promotes maximum adhesion for the top coat by removing any carbon buildup that may exist as well as any dirt and loose material on the surface.

what is the coverage of 5 gallons ?

A 5 gallon of Marlin Silicone Top Coat will cover around 300 sqft.

Once cured, how thick is the rubber costing? Is the coating flexible like regular silicone rubber? Can it be coated more than once after cure? Thanks!

Yes, the coating is flexible and can be coated more than once. In regards to thickness, it all depends on your application rate. For example, if you apply one gallon of product over a 60 sqft area that will give you a cured thickness of around 25mils.

How do I thin out this product? Can I use regular paint thinner?
