On the shock doctors it is located in the back of the waist band where it makes contact with the skin and could possibly cause a little bit of itching, although this isn't a big deal it is very minimal. One other last final difference I experienced is the shock doctor has a pouch to hold a cup (if you need to wear a cup I'd recommend going with the shock doctor). Everything stays just where it needs to be, avoiding readjusting and uncomfortable rubbing. The waistband is wide and comfortable without rolling up. It did not shrink after washing and drying and continues to hold its stretchiness. It is absorbent and breathable as well as being supportive. My only negative comment is that where the leg band attachments are sewn, there is fraying after each wash. Hopefully, the bands will stay attached. I'm very happy that I found this old school support!
