UPDATE: I've noticed that I've broken out in acne within the month of taking the tablets. I'm male and almost 40, and never had problems since a teenager. Yet since taking these I've had 3 really huge painful spots, 2 of which were almost like mini bruises, one above my eyebrow, others on the cheeks. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Can't comment on the nutritional gains just yet. But first thing you notice is the odour when you open the tub. Smells like a mild stink bomb, but it's tolerable if you don't keep the lid open too long. Couple tips: for the same reason, swallow the tablet immediately otherwise you risk your mouth smelling the same. And close the lid tight otherwise your cupboard will start smelling too! Crazy yes, but the smell must be related to one of the other ingredients. I've been sticking with it for a few weeks, hope to see some benefits. Finger nails are growing quicker though, just hoping to see benefits on my hair now!

I was looking for a supplement as I felt my hair was thinning and was advised to try Viviscal, which is very expensive. I did my research and found Biotin. Decided to give it a try for a few months. At the price, I wasn't losing much if they didn't work. I've been taking them now for 3 months and can't believe the difference! My hair is definitely back to normal but the biggest difference is my nails. They would break and split but are now strong and the longest they've ever been. Biotin is a fraction of the price of Viviscal but I would highly recommend them. They might not work for everyone but definitely worth trying them out for a few months before going for the expensive options.

This is my first order of this brand via Amazon as they are out of stock on the Nutravita site for this quantity and strength. I first started taking them last year after losing my hair due to illness. My hair and nails started to replenish again so I thought I would continue taking them.

I must say its good value for money. The smell is very strong besides that this brand doesn't suit me at all. I took one tablet yesterday thinking my stomach will settle but I decided to take one tablet today. Unfortunately these tablets for some reason doesn't agree with my body. Felt very sick and I cannot continue taking these tablets. I have to return it. I am sorry. Otherwise the service was excellent. I received it in one day. I am taking Biotin since 3 years but when I saw this one I placed an order. I have to go back to my old brand which doesn't upset my stomach. Many thanks

Can't comment on the effectiveness of the tablets but boy oh boy do they smell and taste vile. Yes, we all know that some, supplements especially, tablets do pong/taste bad, but these are truly evil. I have a keen sense of smell too so I'm not sure whether I'm going to be able to continue taking them as they really do make me gag!!

The pills smell so awful and make the whole cupboard smell, even with the bottle tightly closed! Both myself and my husband had to stop taking these after a week as they caused us both to get the worst nausea! It was definitely these supplements - I tried re-starting them after a break of a week and the nausea and stomach pain returned, despite taking them with food. I do not recommend these supplements as they have been a complete waste of money, the cupboard still smells and they made us feel sick. Ended up in the bin!!

Good quality

This is my second year on this particular biotin - second yearly bottle but first bottle of the new formula. Excited to see the progress, as my first year taking these particular biotin tablets was fantastic. A lot of hair growth, nail growth and definitely assisted with healthy skin. After years of colouring my hair and having fine hair anyway I really felt this helped me get my hair in better condition and thicker. New formula tablets are definitely bigger than pervious but they’re not to bad to swallow. I recommend this to all my clients.
