Worth having in your toolbox!
Great tool for the price! I was hesitant if I needed this for a recent wallpaper project and let me tell you, this thing was a godsend. It is sharp and sturdy and made the perfect guide for trimming along the edges and corners. (Much better than plastic blade.) If youโve ever hung wallpaper, you know it can be tricky so I would recommend having good tools in place.

Good for other things
I purchased this item because I'm a sloppy painter. Even though I tape everything beyond the area I do not want to paint; I still seem to get a little paint in the wrong places. I figured using this item would help me eliminate some of my issues. The item worked; however, I did find myself having a hard time maneuvering both this item and the paint brush. I guess I'm not as coordinated as I want to believe...lol. I did find that I could also use this item to remove those stubborn pieces of tape which refuses to come off. I do like this item and will continue to use it and hopefully I'll get better at painting.

this is shorter, stiffer, more manageable edge tool
Much easier to control and to keep wiped clean in between areas!! We obtained a long floppy plastic edge tool from the paint store which was useless as it bent out of alignment - this tool is much better! You can slide it along as you paint, keeping the edge firm and at the right angle. Our outdoor project alongside very rough stucco did not lend itself as well to use this tool, however, for any indoor/drywall or smoother edging needed, this is the perfect tool!

Paint leaks beware
Doesnโt lay flush against wall and paint leaks onto other side Gonna try cardboard instead

Better than tape
Itโs great for almost all projects. I was spending all kinds of money on painters tape so I was decided to get this to save money. Itโs easy to clean and reuse. I use paint thinner to clean it. The dry paint comes right off. Itโs nice and sturdy and has a good edge on it.

Easier and faster than masking tape. Just this and a wet towel gets it done.
Rather than tape up the lines, I just use this as a straight edge barrier for a narrow paintbrush. The paint does not bleed beneath the blade, and as long as you periodically rinse and dry the blade, or use a wet towel to wipe it, time is saved.

Very helpful for any kind of trim painting
This was a game changer for me. I was repainting my entire house and wasn't too keen on taping off all the base trim, which is very narrow at the top (1/4" or even 1/8"). I tried using an edger and it was too sloppy. I tried using a brush, but even though I have a very steady hand, it was painfully slow. Using this blade in conjunction with the brush, however, sped up the process by about 10x, and left much cleaner trim. Wish I'd been using this my entire left! One piece of advice, especially on older houses that don't have straight lines as much. Wipe the guard off on your shorts/rag between each use. I work left to right, pushing the blade until my brush goes dry. But when I pick the blade up I wipe it off because it will get a little paint on the backside that can junk up the very thing you are trying to protect.

Must have painting tool
This is a great tool to get straight lines in my paintings. The sizing is perfect to work on paper medium size pieces, 12x12" for example, as it is not too large or too short. The sizing also allows me to store it easily or to keep it in the same holder as my large brushes. The blade is really sharp, so much so that I cut one of my fingers with it. I love that is made of stainless steel as this makes it durable. I clean it with a wipe or rage and looks as new every time. Nothing fancy about the grip area, but it's strong enough, and it's getting nicer now that it has different splashes of paint on it. Good value for money.
