Because I bake, I can always use a good 8x8" pan. My favorite pan went missing so I tried this one, and have been very impressed with the quality. It bakes perfectly and is easy to clean. There is heft to it which is hard to find in most baking pans. I eventually did get my other favorite pan back and use them both all the time.

Nordic ware makes great baking ware. It is heavy guage, which helps even cooking and prevents warping. Cleans well.

first nordic ware and I wish i had tried this brand 1000 years ago. Same oven and no uneven cakes. Sides climb perfectly and tops flat. Browning even throughout the cake.................very very nice. clean easily i use spay oil on bottom and sides. put em in the basin and swish clean ............then done

Great quality from Nordic Ware, as usual! This pan is nice and thick, with good metal finishing. I bought 2 of these to split recipes for a 9x13 inch pan in half, as recommended by some recipes sites and cookbooks. For those of us cooking for just 1-2 people and don't want to make huge amounts of leftovers, this looks like it will be a good solution. I also ordered a 2-pack of silicone liners for 8x8 pans from Amazon, which fit well but have to be tucked in a bit on the edges. This is because the bottom edges are rounded and measure closer to 7-1/2 rather than 8 inches exactly, which is not a problem for my planned uses. This also fits easily into my toaster oven, which I prefer to use when the weather is warm.

Worth every penny. Heavy duty square baking pan, conducts heat well, should last a lifetime. Nordic Ware purchases over the years, in general, have not disappointed.

Regarding size, Rufus said the interior base measured 7.91" x 7.91" however it is actually a little under 7.5" (I needed almost 8" to match another pan that I already have.). Other than that, it is a thick, solid, excellent baking pan.

I have used this pan so much since I bought it. I have been trying to get a collection of good bakeware, and Nordic Ware rapidly became my favorite brand. I don't have to worry about chemicals or peeling from a teflon coated pan. I don't have to extend a baking time because I used glass. These pans are made from really good, thick aluminum. They hold up beautifully. The 8x8 perfect for a small batch of whatever. Casserole, corn bread, or cake, this pan can handle it. It is easy to clean by hand. If you wash it in a dishwasher, it will take on a nice, dark patina. Nordic is a great brand with a great range of sizes and shapes. I have Nordic sheet pans in several sizes and we use them for everything from serving, to baking, to broiling. I don't think I will ever go back to cheaper pans.

There is nothing like Nordic Ware baking equipment. You will not find a sturdier, better made cake pan/muffin tin/baking sheet etc. anywhere. The aluminum is so pure, a beautiful light colour, really solid and the reinforced sides really do make a difference. They are rounded and have such a nice edge, will never warp and these pans are going to last decades. Everything I have baked with them so far has turned out so beautifully. The cooking is so even there is truly nothing better. (And don’t forget, never buy those nonstick coatings they are extremely dangerous and carcinogenic.) I now have six or seven NW baking items. This is by far my favourite brand. And don’t forget it’s made in the USA which is very important to me! (I only buy things made in Canada and the USA now.) PS the reviewer who said he was disappointed about the dents doesn’t understand that these are hand crafted, hand bent into position etc. They are made the old-fashioned way, meaning the quality way. You shouldn’t want machine made crap from the PRofC.
