Unfortunately this defeatists line of thinking is why there aren't fallout shelters or even a modicum of civil defense preparedness for the civilian population in the US (unlike the rest of the first world). Potassium iodide is cheap, effective and proven to be safe. This dietary supplement might save someone's life. What do you have to lose by having it sit on a shelf for "just in case"? Best value for the money.
God willing we’ll NEVER need this! Purchased for a SHTF scenario. However, if you live close to any nuclear power plants it’s a good thing to have on hand. 🦋Lily🦋

Don't follow "Testament"
Remember the movie "Testament" from 1983? Yeah, do the opposite of what everyone in that movie does. In the case of nuclear fallout, take potassium iodide and wear a freak'n mask! These pills are just as good as any other potassium iodide pill.

Let's hope we never need this....
The main reason that a prepper might need potassium iodide is to overload your system with NON-radioactive iodine, so that you're less likely to pick up radioactive iodine in the aftermath of a nearby nuclear explosion. I bought this when Russia started talking about "limited" use of nukes in Ukraine, and I pray that I never need to take any of it.

Why not? They’re cheap and presumably they work. If we ever have a radiation event and they don’t save my life I’ll return and remove stars.

I did not rate the swallow or the taste...... because as far as I know, no nuclear danger is at hand. But, as soon as they drop the big one, I will let you know. If this site even works. lol
