I was told by a wound specialist to buy one of these a couple of years ago post surgery to sit on to prevent skin breakdown. I did and I have used it ever since just for comfort in my chair when I paint, for a Cushion on an outdoor rocker, ect. I just bought this 2nd one because my husband discovered how comfortable it is too! It is well made. Can be unzipped to wash the outer cover (I’ve never had too). Plus, this price is half what my original one was through a pharmacy!! Same brand, same exact cushion.

I bought this cushion for my mother who is suffering from hip pain. The doctor wanted to prevent pressure sores, and he suggested a specific brand of cushion. The brand that was suggested was much more expensive than the FOMI cushions, so I went with the FOMI. It is very well made, portable, and the covering is washable by hand. My mother loves it and said that she can't imagine a more comfortable cushion. She has it on her kitchen chair. I don't regret saving my money on his purchase!

My husband suffers from a very painful skin disease and I was hoping beyond hope this product could give him some relief from the pain he endures day in and day out and maybe help to calm some of the side effects. He has been using it for about a week and already he feels some relief from pain and it appears to have started just now to help a little with side effects. The only thing that surprised us and concerns us, is that there is no insert in or information on the box about the product itself, such as, company information, contact information, where it was made, the material it is made of and how you could clean the gel mat if it becomes soiled, only the covering gives cleaning instruction. This is a concern from this consumer's perspective.

I got this one to try and extend the life of a bad chair. This is a great product for the money. Is it the best? No. Does it give really good comfort for a great price? Most definitely! Eventually I upgraded to a more expensive chair pad, but this one worked really well for more than a year, and I was able to pass it on to a co-worker who still uses it. It's especially good when you need something very portable as it can fold in half and go in a bag. I used it a lot in meetings too, because those chairs are bad!

Used on a office chair no sores use with thin dressing

I bought the cushion for my mother, who now spends all her day in a wheelchair, to prevent pressure sores. She is also very short, so it was important for the cushion to be thin and cool. This product seems to be delivering on its promise so far -- we've been using it for about a week. I tried it out myself first: it's firm but comfortable, pretty heavy to hold, I could feel the "waffle pattern" a little bit with my butt, which was pleasantly reassuring, and it's only about an inch thick, but the gel has enough gentle resistance never to go flat. My mother has real trouble accepting any changes, but she immediately took to this cushion and is sitting on it every day. Also, the cushion arrived in a nice cover with a non-slip bottom and a handle, well packaged in a fabric bag and its own box within the Amazon box. I recommend it for those who aren't looking for soft so much as for functional.

For car it is a very good

Bought this seat for my 93 year old Mum who is very, very fussy. She has sores on the bony part of her bottom, as she sits a lot. She loves it and says it’s very comfy and is helping with the sores. Well worth the money.

The gel cushion has a strap handle on it, so why not one on the bag it is in also? I very much enjoy the difference in comfort on the lawnmower and am going to buy another one for my computer desk chair, hopefully, it will help relieve the back strain from sitting there over the hours.

This gel cushion is a great product. It is not like other cushions which just go flat when you sit on them. The gel actually provides support but also feels very soft as it moves and moulds to support you when you are moving around in the seat.
