Update: tried one out just to be sure, and can confirm it will keep you warm! Took some pictures of my hubby with it wrapped around and then just holding it to give an idea of how big the mylar blankets are, he is 6'2 for reference. These are a great item to have, very versatile and useful! They are lightweight small and very portable. I got these to put in our camping/hiking/emergency bags. They would be great for any of those situations, but I also plan to buy more to put some in each of our cars- they would be perfect to have in case your car breaks down or you get stranded in cold weather. Also useful to have around the house in cold environments, you can layer one between regular blankets to really increase the warmth and heat retention! I've also heard of people duct taping them together to create a mylar tent or putting a hole in the center to turn it into a poncho. Definitely worth it to keep several on hand!

Liked the individual packaging. I purchased these to keep in our church's disaster preparedness stock. We get hot summers with wildfires, and wet winters with frost and heavy snow. These are ideal to hand out for temporary use if people evacuate (or, like last winter's snowpocalypse when power was out for 2 weeks). And cheaper than fleece blankets, of which we also had several. These are great for emergencies or just unexpected cold while camping! The added bonus of the package of smaller blankets was an unexpected and greatly appreciated surprise! I keep these blankets in all of our vehicles and in my camping gear at all times. I don’t want to be caught unprepared! This product makes some claims, with most of them are true. It is waterproof and windproof. Heat retention it's really good. Very small and light. The only thing I haven't tested is durability. Cheap (in the good way).
