JensenMPR2121 Digital Media Receiver

Great sound. Had some issues that Ryan at product support helped me through (leave a message and he gets back next business day). Initially found apparent problem of inadequate power supplied by the vehicle wiring, which I wouldn't have guessed having put stereos in this '98 Chevy van twice before with no such issue. A dedicated wire with fuse from the battery fixed that. Next, it just froze up unresponsive after a few days. Learned how to reset it, and hopefully will have no more issues. Hoping for the best. Bought this to replace a broken existing radio head unit for a classic vehicle. Perfect so far. Nice choice of colors to match the vehicle interior colors of the truck. Easy to connect and easy to program. Decent sound and equalizing features even without an amp.

I have 2 of these in my vehicles. I bought these radios for one simple feature. The adjustable LED. It has a really simple interface built right into the unit that let's you adjust to the exact color, and intensity you want. I like this feature as it let's me program the lighting to match my cars OEM lighting color so it doesn't clash. I don't like having that oem greenish yellow that manufacturers used in the early 00's next to a bright blue or flashing display like most radios have. I can adjust it so the color matches, and goes with dash without too much fuss, and at a great price point.Now for the bad. Both times I have had to order replacement units. The first one had feedback from the alternator when the car was running. Fortunately the radio was the only thing I installed, so it made the diagnosis easy. After ordering a replacement, and sticking it in my fix was confirmed. I ordered another one for a different vehicle as I liked the lighting feature, and after installing that unit there is a noticeable background hiss when the volume is set to 01 or higher. The hiss doesn't increase with the volume, it's just there. It's tolerable but I had to turn the volume up a ways to not hear it. So I am now waiting on a replacement unit, and I'll live with the noise for the time being.Everything else works well, and it doesn't shock me to have poor quality control at this price point. I guess if I need another for a vehicle down the road I'll just order 2, so I can finish the install same day.

Bluetooth connects and autoplays my music in about 3 seconds! No annoying sounds or voices saying “connected”, it just connects and plays. Perfect.Volume knob could use a rubber grip around it, it’s just plastic so it’s a bit slippery. But it’s functioning well and looks nice, will update if I run into issues. Just installed. Seems solid for the price so far.UPDATE:It doesn’t always auto play. Mainly will if you have music already playing. If not, it’s hit or miss. The annoyance with this is that there is no play button on the stereo that I’m aware of, so you must hit play on your phone. *EDIT* there is a play button just below and to the right of the volume knob, this is a big help.Also the display doesn’t stay in memory. If I want the clock display I have to hit the display button every time I turn it on, or it’ll just default to “BT audio”. Also doesn’t display the song info.Still, not bad at all for the price. But it’d be amazing without these issues.

It's a nice radio, decent features. The 12 digit words DONT read out when your listening to Bluetooth. That's one of the features I wanted, but for the price ots not bad

Nice color choice, good sound quality. Loaded with options no bass output rca.

For the money it does the job nicely
