Review: Levoit air purifier - I bought this Levoit air purifier for my bedroom with the aim of improving the quality of my sleep, breathing cleaner air, and boosting my respiratory health. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the purifier; it is quite quiet—especially in Sleep Mode—so I can sleep without any annoying noise. Furthermore, the air has felt cleaner and fresher right from the very first days of use. The design is also modern and compact. I appreciate that it features smart Wi-Fi control, allowing me to operate it remotely from my phone via an app. I have noticed less dust accumulation in the mornings. Setup was quick, and the controls are very simple to use. It is definitely an excellent purchase. I recommend it for people with allergies, or simply for anyone looking to maintain a cleaner environment at home.
Review: Effective for keeping room smoke free. - I bought this for my office/man-cave. I smoke a pipe. Most of my tobaccos are aromatic with a good room scent, but I do experiment and some of them can get a bit stale smelling over time. I have this filter next to my desk and it does a great job of filtering the smoke. My wife can rarely smell the tobacco... though she does love the aroma of most. This one has multiple speeds, I usually leave it on max and it works great. It is small enough to be unobtrusive and large enough to be effective. The controls are on top and can be controlled via wifi if needed. It doesn't restart after a power outage, so have to remember to start it again. Easy to use and a lot of power for the size. Pros: light weight, powerful, effective and easy to use. Well made and good value. Cons: It can be loud on maximum speed if you are sensitive to such things. It can be placed anywhere in the room, so that can be used to mitigate the noise. In my case, I have multiple fans running on computers etc so it isn't noticeable. I have several Levoit products and find they are long wearing, well made and effective. These are no exception. I would recommend this product and would buy it again.

**Q: Can the light be turned off?**
A: I just learned that if you tap and hold the lightbulb icon it turns off all the lights, including the indicator lights. I’ve had this for months and didn’t know that. It’s a game changer.

**Q: How much square footage will this cover is a good for a big bedroom a small bedroom house ?**
A: It says 86 sq feet, but since almost no one has a room that tiny, it does just fine with a 10x12 room, such as what I have myself. I think it’s all relative. Just run the purifier on the highest setting (3 for the fan) for say an hour, and then lower it down to 2. It might take a little longer to get desired results but no question it works fine in a average sized bedroom

**Q: I live in Bay area near the Wildfire outbreaks...Will this be able to filter wildfire smoke particulates?**
A: It will remove smoke particles caused by a wildfire but you have to realize that it is only rated for 86 sq ft, which is smaller than the average bedroom size of 10'x10'. So placing this in your living room and expecting it to make your air "safer" would be a false assumption. Same for putting it in your cubicle at your office, the rest of the office is too big for it to help, you would be better off just wearing a mask. It really only makes sense to use this product in a small, closed bedroom or office. Any space larger / not enclosed is more of a placebo effect.  I would suggest spending a little more on LEVOITs LV-PUR131 that is rated up to 322 sq ft.  You really need to move a larger volume of air for these filters to be effective.

**Q: It says to replace filter every 6 mo.  What has your experience been? Less?  Maintanence monthly?**
A: I have to replace my filter every 30 days. The filter costs between $29.95 and $35.95. Quite an expense. I always look for the 15% off from Levoit and purchase two when that happens or purchase two when Amazon goes down to $29.95. This is the only Levoit air filter I have that has to have their air filter changed so often. I have two other different Levoit air purifiers who only require air filter changes every 8-10 months. They are located in the same house in the same types of bedrooms.

This is a very good quality air purifier, and I have used and configured one before at my Mom's a few years ago, and she loved it, so I bought one for my own personal use at home. This purifier is a very well respected brand in the industry. Its easy to read and turn on and off, and the controls are easy to understand. Its very light weight and easily portable to move from room to room as needed. It also has no smell whatsoever, and is very quiet when in night mode, I cannot hear it at all! You can however hear it if you turn up fan to maximum cleaning, but some folks might just like this extra white noise to fall asleep to. Besides, once you do a good thorough cleaning first day or two in a given room, you don't need to run it on high speed all the time. Running it on low speed at nighttime when you are asleep works quite well. The only thing is this particular model I got might be a tad small for my master bedroom. I wish I had maybe gotten a slightly larger model, but this one still works great for what I got it for. Being on on a fixed budget at the time last Fall when I initially purchased, I wasn't wanting to splurge too much then. The small size is my only negative complaint, but not enough to discourage anyone from getting one. I just thought it would be a tad bigger for my bedroom. Otherwise, it gets high marks across the board. Just be sure you buy the largest model you can afford. especially if its for a master bedroom or large living or entertainment room. This is the 200 model I think, so the larger the model number, the better. I highly recommend these Levoit Air purifiers, and they even will work with Alexa (and Google). That is also a nice plus and one reason I got one for my Mom several years ago so she could operate it using her voice only!
