I wasn’t expecting too much because of the price, but I’ve definitely gotten more than my money’s worth out of this. I purchased this air filter for three reasons: to cut down on dust, reduce the smell of smoke (I live with smokers), and as an extra precaution when my area is impacted by poor air quality (typically from wildfires). This has done a great job solving for all of the above. It actually catches way more dust than I anticipated, and works pretty quickly to eliminate or reduce odors. I’ve noticed my bedroom consistently smells fresher and less stuffy than the other rooms in the house. Since I’m allergic to dust, this has also really helped with my allergies. Honestly, even if it stopped working 5 minutes from now, I like it so much that I’d probably just order a new one. Not sure how this would work in larger rooms, but great for small to medium spaces like bedrooms and offices. The only downsides worth noting: 1) On the two highest settings, it’s not so loud that you’d have to raise your voice to have a conversation over it, but loud enough that I turn it off or put it on a lower setting during zoom meetings. It sounds a bit like a white noise machine. That said, the 2 lower modes are pretty quiet. 2) The small blue lights above the control panel stay on in sleep mode. I’m someone that can’t sleep with any lights on, so when I want to run this at night, I have to cover the control panel. It helps better remove dust and smells in your room. You will see more noticable change of air quality than other air purifier that doesn't contain a negative ion generator. **Q: Anyone test the ions of this unit with an negative ion meter?** A: Have not been able to get a reading with ionoscope. **Q: Does this use radioactive materials like many "negative ion" products?** A: This one does not, it uses UV. If any radioactive materials are used in an air filtration unit and/or Ozone generator, it is contained in the Air quality detection part of devices, not the generator and this one doesn't contain either one. Thanks! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pretty good so far. *by B***N on March 31, 2024* I needed something for a small bedroom. This room had little air circulation and seemed to be always dusty. I bought a different unit and I didn't love it. This one has been with me for only a short time. I started on full power for almost 24 hrs. Lowering the fan at bedtime. I do see a difference. Dusting and vacuuming are not required as often. This will not take of all dust, but I'm really liking this one. The lower fan setting is white noise. During the day, I do crank it up and there is a louder sound, but it is not too loud for me. The light is terrific. Timing settings good although I would love the option of keeping it on constantly. The only feature that has not worked for me at all, is the ability to put essential oils into the machine creating a lovely, not too fragrant room. Despite multiple efforts, there is zero positive effect from that feature.
