Whole house filter rings
I purchased these even though the reviews were a bit mixed. I have a Westinghouse whole house filter and the original o-ring was getting wonky. When I changed the filter this dropped right in and sealed properly. Will buy again when needed.

No leaks
If you are not a plumber, even the simplest diy repair can quickly become a nightmare. The sediment filter on my fixer-upper farmhouse hadn't been changed in 2 years. It took a flashlight and magnifying glass to identify the manufacturer and replacement filter for my well water system. I am thankful that Amazon showed the Captain O-Ring as a companion purchase for the filter cartridge because the existing O-ring tore apart when I wrestled the filter casing open. New O-ring works perfectly. No leaks.

Good O-Rings
The 3 pack of O-rings comes in handy. Are very easy to install. Look to be made well, looking to see how long they last. They do look better then the ones I got from the last ones I got, they lasted a good year.

Does not fit the Whirlpool model it’s labeled to fit.
Slightly too large for the Whirlpool WHKF housing. Too large = not useable. The O ring fits into a groove in the canister and falls out when the canister is spun into place as it’s not in the groove… Buy the Whirlpool branded O rings- they are the correct size.

They are a little over sized and difficult to get the vessel to close without leaking.
