The fit was true to size, and it’s comfortable enough that he actually keeps it on while riding (and looks forward to wearing it). The padding on the feels thick and protective. The ventilation seems okay, after about 30 minutes of riding, he’s pretty sweaty. The chin strap is easy to adjust and stays put once fastened. After a few uses, the helmet has stayed pretty neat and scratch free. He’s dropped it a few times, and it’s left minor scratches, but nothing too noticeable. He mostly rides in our backyard, but this helmet gives me a peace of mind without breaking the bank. If you’re looking for a reliable, comfortable kids helmet- this is a solid choice.
