Salter Earth Grill Pan 28 Cm, Ceramic Nonstick Griddle Pan

great pan, good quality and reasonable price too

I bought this pan as a replacement for my old frying pan. First impressions are good, the pan is light and easy to use, it works well on my induction pan. I have now had the pan for a while and I have cooked a variety of foods in it. The griddle section of the pan doesn’t seem to add particularly strong grill lines into foods, but the non stick certainly works well. I also think that the non stick coating seems to be robust as despite not always using the correct utensils, no damage to the pan has been caused. The only negative I can think of about this item is that if you wash it with strong spices like turmeric, which can dye items, the colouration of the pan and handle can be subtly changed. This is a minor point but just something to be aware of. Although this pan will never be mistaken for a high end pan, it is a good purchase at this price point.

Attractive to look at good for frying or grilling sausages as they don't roll about but be carefully not too have it too far in the grill as handle is wooden and could burn

Don't cook above 'X' temperature, only use certain oils with 'Y' smoke point. I only take these out of the cupboard now if I'm preparing enough to need more than one pan. Food doesn't seem to stick, but as you can only cook on medium heat, how can it. It also takes forever for anything to cook when doing so at such a low temperature.. I won't buy these again.

This is quite a unique designed griddle pan and looks quite different next the usual black or copper pans Is not too heavy either like those heavy cast iron griddle types so useful for a elderly person or someone who finds holding heavy pans difficult It is a blue/grey colour even it looks purple in the pictures Very good to cook with, nothing sticks and very easy to clean Comes in a nice presentation box if you wanted it for a wedding present Made by Salter who I thought made weighing scales so a good brand

Pan is great, but I don't think the box needed to be so big.
