No, no USB ports, just video connections.

What cable is required for this monitor to work with a mac pro 15-inch, late 2013, and with a macbook pro with thunderbolts?

You just need a thunderbolt to HDMI adapter and it will work. I have used HDMI monitors with even older mac with thunderbolt port.
