This item is a must! Hubby likes to get the large bottles, but he doesn't drink it after open and it's flat the next day. This item works similar to a wine opener or cork screw. Put the cap straight on, then lift the sides like a cork screw. Those silver rivers are hinges. When you life each side it looks like wings or a cork screw. put the sides back down and restart.
