**Q: Can this belt be washed**
A: Yes you can wash it perfectly in the labeling you could find the correct instructions. But totally ok for washing machine.

**Q: Size chart for ostomy belts**
A: All I can say is I've got a 36ins waist and there's plenty of room you can adjust it as tight as you want

**Q: What size is needed for 40"  waist below stoma ? Would xl be ok or would i need larger size?**
A: Hello Mark, 
Ideally, you should measure your circumference around the stoma, since the ostomy belt goes at the height of the stoma and depending on that measurement, guide you from the measurement chart. 
If your final measurement is between 40 and 41 inches I would recommend a L size.

**Q: can this be used for a stoma bag on left side ?**
A: Yes, my stoma is also on the left. I would recommend this
