I have very fine, thin hair and was working my way toward ...
Exactly what I've been looking for! For years I have had sore spots on my scalp from some type of dermatitis and intense dandruff in some spots. I have very fine, thin hair and was working my way toward some bald spots because of the irritation. I've tried lots of different shampoos and medications and nothing worked; they only seemed to make my scalp more irritated and dry. I used this shampoo for a couple weeks and started seeing a huge improvement. After the first use my scalp felt better. My scalp in now completely cleared up. I use it once every 3 to 4 weeks for maintenance. The spots where my hair was thinning have filled out more, as well. What a relief! You really have to shake the product in order for it to work well. I shake the bottle for a good 60-70 seconds. I also use a fair amount because it doesn't lather like regular shampoo. It smells clean and fruity with a relatively strong under tone of vinegar. That sounds strange, but it's actually nice! My fiancรฉ, who is picky when it comes to shampoo smells, liked it. He offered that opinion on his own; I didn't have to ask. Your hair is left feeling very clean. I have used all natural products before that left my hair feeling heavy and gross.. That's not the case with this stuff. My fiancรฉ also has sore spots under his beard, he started massaging a small amount into his beard and it helped clear up the dry spots. It is expensive but well worth the price! especially if you've been looking for a something to help clear up a sore, irritated scalp like I have for so long. I will continue to purchase this product and highly recommend it!

Hair is smooth & silky, but the smell needs to be tolerated
When I ordered the product, I wanted silky, smooth hair, less itchy of scalp, and overall good hair health. Postpartum struck me extremely hard and my hair thinned like crazy. I was SO overwhelmed and I cut 12 inches off my hair to hopefully give it life again. Fast forward 9 months from that point & I found this product. I had it on my amazon wishlist for MONTHS and was reluctant to buy is because of the "smell" mentioned on the reviews. Now the product (I believe) is vinegar-based and we all know what vinegar smells like. It is powerful, so I always thought the product would be powerful (based on what vinegar smells like). I shampooed my hair this morning, and then put the product in. The product DOES have a very strong vinegar smell when applying it in your hair. I waited a few minutes, washed it out and put a tiny bit of conditioner in (to hopefully hide the smell). Well.. it worked! Immediately after the shower my scalp felt SO clean and tingly, my hair was extremely silky and smooth and my hair did NOT smell like vinegar.

Better hair - better scalp!
Amazing product. For a family of 7 and 5 friends - there are 12 guarantees this stuff makes your hair feel amazing. Does it live up to every advertised concept? No idea. I can say this. If you wash your hair thoroughly and then apply this product and leave it sit a few mins before rinsing, you may end up with the smoothest, softest, best feeling hair you have ever had! Pros: - Cleans the scalp far beyond a soap product (should be used after soap/rinse in application). * Don't waste this product on greasy/oily hair, get the hair and scalp well-cleaned and rinsed, 1st! Then enjoy real benefits of the product. - Softens hair immensely - Reduces frizz (at least 3 of us with frizz think so!) - Eliminates many conditions that may cause itching Cons: - Has an aroma that we like - most may not, strong presence of vinegar (but a natures breath of clean can also smell nice to many -- as does for us). - Way too expensive to buy it as often as we would like (constantly). Wished it was MUCH MUCH cheaper, but it isn't ** Considering all those harmful man-made bubbles in traditional shampoos (sodium L... chemicals) damages everything we are trying to take care of -- this product seems to step in and rebuild, revive, strengthen, soften and generally leave you with amazing-feeling hair and scalp. Strongly recommended -- IF you can get past the vinegar aroma (not everyone can - if that bothers you, then the product may not be for your 'nose' -- but your hair may thank you if you can get your nose to cooperate **its a preference thing, not for everyone**)

One of my favorite Just Nutritive hair products
Used as directed, this is a great product for removing product build up & brassiness. Leaves my hair soft, manageable & keeps my silver locks bright & shiny.

My experience was not as great as others here.
As of the date of this post I have used it approximately eight times. It is recommended that it be used once every two weeks, so enough time has passed in order for me to determine if it encouraged new hair growth. That is the reason I purchased it. Without making this review very wordy, I have documented my assessments in bulleted form below. 1) I really don't like the way it smells. It kind of stinks, actually. When I first apply it to my hair, it smells like rotting oranges. 2) After eight uses, plus/minus one over a four month period, I have not noticed any new hair growth. 3) I use a flowbee hair cutting system to cut my hair every Friday evening. I have noticed a larger amount of clippings since I started using this product. I should also mention that I apply a liberal amount of extra virgin olive oil to my entire scalp for 30 minutes every other Friday that I don't use this product. Supposedly, olive oil encourages hair growth, too. The jury is out on that claim. I also use raw aloe vera mixed in with conditioner every time I shampoo. Aloe vera is supposed to encourage hair growth as well. The jury is out on that claim, too. 4) My opinion is that I don't really believe this product encourages new hair growth. What I do believe is that it encourages faster hair growth, and that probably explains the larger amount of hair clippings I mentioned in bullet #3. 5) This product does not leave my hair in any better condition than it was before just prior to using it such as being softer, smoother, etc. This is no big deal to me, just mentioning it. 6) My hair "kind of" feels like it has more volume (emphasis on the words "kind of"). Maybe this product makes the hair shaft thicker, and thicker feels "fuller". I'm not knocking this product. Obviously, many others have experienced better results than I have, so I may be one of the minority users who, unfortunately, did not experience desired results. This product probably works; it just doesn't work for me. If one was to ask me whether they should try it or not, I would suggest that they give it a try. Fortunately, due to the infrequency of how one is supposed to use this, one bottle will last a very long time, so it may be worth your while to try it. Good luck, or better luck, to you.

Yes!!!! It works!!!
My son was diagnosed with alopecia 4 years ago. We tried everything!! Including injections on his scalp.... he was 4 years old. It worked on some spots but there were far too many and we just couldn't keep putting him through that so we stopped. I was looking for natural alternatives and yes, we tried sooo many different ones but they didn't work nearly as good as the just natural products have!!! We use the hair loss shampoo and the bald spot treatment but the one thing that definitely has worked is the vinegar nutritive rinse!! His hair grew back !! We would rinse his hair with it every 10th day. It took us about a year to a year in a half to go through one whole bottle. Unfortunately we stopped using it after the bottle ran out and boy was that a bad Idea!! 3 months of not using it the bald spots returned!!! It wasnt hard to connect the dots and yes it was that we stopped using the vinegar rinse. So we bought it again and we have been washing his hair with it every single time he showers as opposed to every 10th day. His hair is growing again and pretty quickly!!! I'm so grateful for this product!! I totally recommend it!!

HIGHLY recommend-especially for ethnic hair!
I'm a West Indian, light-skin, mixed ethnicity chik with 3b/c and 4a combination hair. Finding shampoos and such for my hair is a pain of trial and error. After doing the 'big chop' in September to embrace my roots (cultural AND hair) I've been searching for something that would soften my natural locs and encourage health...and I think I found it. I've dropped the curly hair Garnier stuff and am using Cantu products instead: So far, so good. Needed a good cleanser. First time using it today. OMG!!! My hair is baby hair soft and clean WITHOUT ANY dryness at all. My scalp is soothed and not tight after air drying (I also battle skin/tissue/ligament diseases that cause constant pain of skin and scalp. Other products have made my scalp so dry that it feels like being shrink-wrapped, causing me to loss some hair in places). This vinegar rinse not only conditioned my hair and scalp but much of the pain I was feeling there is gone. Advice: Shake the bottle VERY well. Rinse with warm -not hot- water and tepid to cool for final rinse. Use a conditioning comb to saturate every strand. But most of all: Be gentle with your scalp and locs as you rinse this out thoroughly. Use a clean t-shirt or micro towel to dry your hair instead of a regular towel.
