If you grew up on the Lake District area of England in the immediate post-WWII era, this will bring back memories. I'm so glad this book found a publisher.

Enjoyed this book tremendously, especially because I raised a small flock of sheep in the US and also because I have a great interest in England and it's history. This covered both, as well as working with sheep dogs. Greatly enjoyed all of the history it contained and first person accounts. So sad this way of life has been replaced by modernization.

Bought for my daughter. She is very pleased with the book. Condition as stated. Swift delivery.

I really enjoyed this book. Great history of Shepherding over the years in England.

Quite interesting, but all felt a little bit "second hand experience" compared to other books on shepherding written by lifetime shepherds
