I freaking love this pen. The weight is just right, not too heavy but heavy enough to feel like a real luxury pen and not some cheap throwaway. The titanium finish looks sleek and professional, and the bolt action is really satisfying to click. It’s the kind of pen you just want to keep using. The ink flows smooth and it writes really good. No skipping or smudging, just clean consistent lines every time. I’ve used it for work, notes, and even just doodling during meetings and it’s been perfect. It honestly makes writing feel nicer, like you want to keep writing just because of the way it feels in hand. The only “problem” I have is keeping it from disappearing. Every time someone borrows it they comment on how nice it is and I can tell they want to walk off with it. I’ve actually started keeping a close eye on it because I don’t want to lose it, haha. Overall this is hands down my favorite pen I’ve owned. It feels premium, it writes smoothly, and it’s durable enough to be a daily carry pen. Definitely worth it if you want something that looks sharp and feels even better in your hand.

In short, it's a well-made pen. Now for the details: The build quality is superb! It's machined so well that It's impossible to see the seam where the tip of the pen screws into the barrel. It looks like the pen is one continuous piece of titanium. The bolt action mechanism is smooth and sure. It seems like it'll last a good long while. I've been fidgeting with the bolt-action constantly for the last two weeks since I've gotten the pen and it's showing no signs of wear or deterioration in performance. The model I got is the slim version and it fits in my hand like a typical Parker Jotter, but a lot more substantial, with a good heftiness. The price is much better than comparable pens from another Texas-based company, but the quality seems to be the same. It's supposed to take all Parker G2 type ink refills, but that's not the case. I've tried: 1) Monteverde Capless Gel Ballpoint Refill to Fit Parker Ballpoint Pens, Fine Point, Blue, 2 per Pack (P422BU) 2) Gel Ink Refills Blue 0.5mm Compatible Parker G2 Type Pelican Fibercastle S.T. Dupont Visconti Monte Grappa Monte Delta Fischer KAWECO Marlen Omas Smith & Wesson Schaeffer Porsche iungo They both do not fit in this pen. No worries. There are plenty of other choices available on Amazon. The Parker refill fits just fine though (PARKER QUINK Ballpoint Pen Gel Ink Refills, Medium Tip, Blue, 2 Count) My final thoughts: I love writing with this pen! I use it every day. I love fidgeting with the bolt-action mechanism of this pen! I believe the pen will last a while (if not, I'll make sure to come back and update this review).

Provided you don’t lose it, this is the last pen you’ll ever need. Seriously, it is so incredibly sturdy. I expect it will outlast me and my children and my grandchildren. The machining is incredibly precise, the design is elegant and simple. I’m so glad I got the slim one because it is still plenty thick. it is about the standard diameter of a regular pen. I see that some reviews had trouble with the ink. I have had no issues whatsoever, and it seems to work like a regular Parker. i’m sure many people are buying this as a “tactical “ pen and certainly it is strong enough to serve as a weapon. However, I am fortunately, enough that I don’t think I will ever have to stab someone with this pen. More important to me is how lovely it is to use every day as an actual pen. If you have ever had the misfortune of a pocket full of ink, you will appreciate the design of this pen, which is both easy to deploy, but also easy to use and will not extend by accident the push button pens can. I also appreciate the very sturdy pocket clip because I actually like to clip a pen into my pants pocket the way many people do with their pocket knives. The only possible downside is the weight which feels very nice to use, but a little heavy in my pocket. Perhaps it would’ve been worth it to go with the titanium one, but the beauty of the stainless steel pen is truly remarkable. As you will see in my video, it appears to be a single piece of stainless steel until you unscrew the tip for ink replacement.

Update 2-9-25: Still in good working condition. DOES NOT TAKE G2 REFILLS. I don't know why that's said everywhere on the product listing but most pen refills are simply too long to work. Go with Bastion or Space Pen refills (they come with a click-pen adapter that will make the refills fit correctly). Got the black carbon version. I'm a building mechanic so all of my tools and even stationary face heavy use. I had a fisher space pen before this and that broke after just 2 weeks from a 4 foot fall to the floor so I needed something more robust. This feels like it'll handle the job well. It is one sturdy pen (I gave a decent attempt at bending it and there is no play). The bolt action assembly is solid and impressively heavy if not a little hard to operate, though the blame for that comes from the strong ink cartridge spring which can likely be replaced with a weaker one. Feels great to hold and write with but dont expect it to be as comfortable as pens with rubber grips. On the bolt action assembly I applied a tiny amount of machine oil (less than a drop on the inside of the shaft where the pieces rub together) and that made operating it much smoother. I can't comment on the included ink because I immediately replaced it with a Fisher ink cartridge.

Been using this for months, so safe to review. It's slightly bulky, but the best pen I've found for my use. Highly recommend. I usually keep a pen in my pants pocket. Push buttons are undesirable bc they tend to push while in your pocket and can make a mess. Also, the design of the push button generally makes the pen stick out too far. Twist pens are easier to find with the clip closer to the top, but they tend to untwist themselves and come apart in your pocket. Both issues are addressed by this design. When I inevitably lose this one, I will buy another.

I have been looking for a replacement to my Gerber Impromptu pen for over a year. I haven't found a "tactical" alternative, they have all been garbage. Oversized gigantic wastes of money. Immediately out of the box, I knew I'd FINALLY found a solid replacement. Quality of manufacture is superb. The weight is solid. I wanted something I could actually get aggressive with, even if it doesn't have a glassbreaker. This is a sharp looking, well finished pen. It feels great in the hand and has been polished to blend the tip into the body, making it nearly impossible to identify it isn't just one solid piece. We'll done! I highly recommend.

Not sure I'm keeping this one. The body feels nice and sturdy, finish feels good in the hand. The action is extremely stiff and feels gritty to operate though, could be just that it's new. The ink insert is really bottom shelf.. leaves incomplete lines with blank spots, and doesn't feel very nice. It doesn't write well on varied surfaces either. I'll stick a better quality cartridge in it and see if the action smooths out at all, but if I had the chance to try this out before buying, I'd probably pass on it.

This is a great pen! I was interested in it for the heft (I got the stainless steel version) and the seamless design. I was hesitant about the bolt action. I have a couple of other bolt action pens (both small company/custom) and honestly I'm not a fan. Both of those were gifts given to me and while they write nice, their actions are a little awkward. Not this pen though! The action is easily the best of the 3 bolt actions I have now. It it easy to extend, easy to retract, a very natural flick of the thumb as you pick it up or put it down. The supplied cartridge writes smoothly and without skips on every kind of paper I've tried it on. This was the first bolt action I've purchased, and it is my first Bastion, probably won't be my last Bastion though. Well done!

Excellent Pens, Made well, Love the Blue color, did not try the ink, I bought my own from Amazon: Schmidt P900 Parker Style Ballpoint Pen Refill, Medium Point, Black Ink. This ink is the BEST.

Pen is fine but they should use a medium inc cartridge not a fine inc cartridge
