I have not performed the initial dunk into water to validate the product... My concerns in the long term are the front and back. I use a magnetic mount on the backside, and it would be nice for a more rigid piece of plastic, as I didnt need a clear backside. I believe their is no 100%, but my concern was for moisture protection. It looks like it will work well

This is my 2nd phone case like this. I wouldn't have bought a second one if I didn't like it, that being said, the only thing Is it scratches easy. But it doesn't effect me using the phone. It does it's job. And I'd buy another one. And probably will.

Having an older Galaxy S8, it's sometime difficult to find a case that protects the curved screen. This case was a replacement for one that looked identical. Turns out, it isn't. The charging port is larger on this one (which was needed, as my new charger head would not fit into my old case. BUT, this case seems to have a slightly thicker screen protector, making it less sensitive to the touch. It's frustrating that sometimes it takes multiple swipes or touches to activate the screen. Protection wise, it's good. Rubber seals are on all the ports. I added a "Love Handle" on the back because it's slightly slippery without something like a handle or popsocket on the back.

The fingerprint reader does not work. I don't know if the problem is in the cover or the phone. I have not used the fingerprint reader for a while since the previous cover also had problem with it.The corners of the touch screen are also not very sensitive. Sometimes I have to press a few times before the touch was detected. I have no problem with other parts of the touch screen. I have not submerged the phone under water to see how water tight the cover is, but it is ok under running water with the screen facing the water. I have not tried the sides, however.Upon further observation, the whole cover was slightly bent, concaved on the screen side. This could be caused by the high heat in the truck trailer during shipping. I downgraded the rating by one star because the cover material could not withstand high heat.

This case is almost perfect. It's extremely nice for the price. My biggest complaint is that it is huge compared to the size of the phone. The lifeproof water proof cases I have owned in the past have always been about the same size as a regular phone case. Maybe slightly larger. This case is gargantuan . It does a pretty good job protecting the phone though. Especially against water. Before use, I tested it underwater for 30 minutges according to the instructions, and it was dry as a bone when I took it out of the water. Also, I took underwater videos with my phone in the case when I went swimming.In the past, I have used waterproof cases as my everyday case, because I am a sculptor and my phone can go through quite a few ordeals. This case is much too large for an everyday carry. Therefore, it is being used as my vacation and/or exploration case, while a non-waterproof Trianium case will be my edc, since the s8+ is already water proof.Pros: The built-in screen protector fits great and feels durable, the fingerprint scanner still works, the screen is still just as responsive, pictures still look great, there is a built-in lens protector, wireless charging still works, the case looks decent, it feels durable, it works under water, the ports are still accessible, it provides good protection from drops, and it is very inexpensive [about $60 cheaper than it's Lifeproof competitor].Cons: The case increases the phones size to about double what a normal case would. Also, the speaker seems to loose a little volume with the case on.
