I thought I would be a good idea to buy the house and fill it with all the characters from the show which is exactly what I did. The house itself doesnt really need any assembly apart from a few stickers and placement of some furniture something which your child could actually do. The house opens like a book and when closed has a latch to keep it shut so you can store it away easily, it is well built and will survive a few drops onto the floor.
