    Too much processed "food" recipes

I got this book as a gift. I'm not too impressed by it. I am so fed up with popular "chefs" using processed foods A LOT throughout their cookbooks. I expect better from them than to have recipes from the back of a can.  It's almost insulting that people think that because you use a crockpot your recipes should mainly include processed foods because crockpots are supposed to be "easy" recipes. I don't use my crock for ease. I use it because it makes my meats and poultry so tender and the flavors set in so much better than if I had cooked it without a crock. I'd love a crock cookbook that has NO processed ingredients. If anyone has a recommendation for one, please respond to this post. Thank you

This has become one of my favorite cookbooks. Lot's of easy to prepare meals for the crockpot, with straightforward preparationinstructions. Many books of this type seem too simplistic but this book has the basic recipes if you are just getting startedwith crockpot cooking, to the more complex recipes. I love being able to put all my ingrediants in in the morning before leavingfor work and it does its thing all day, ready when I come home!
