WGB32BM Filters and WSP-J Prefilter Review Update
Follow-up on Aug 31, 2024I decided to have my prefilter discharge to the outside so I asked Sean to send me an additional length of blue tubing and the connection fitting. He was nice enough to do this and all is working great. Now when I manually turn the discharge nob the flushing water goes outside my basement and onto the grass in my yard. No more carrying a 5-gal container filled with water outside to empty it.I did have a plastic fitting that snapped with the threads embedded in the brass discharge valve and fortunately Sean had sent two so I was lucky. I did ask for another to be sent to me just in case I have to disassemble the tubing again and I break the fitting.I must sayโฆโฆ iSpringโs customer service is tops. Anyone (especially Sean) I have communicated with always assists. Thanks to all!I installed the WGB32BM system along with the jumbo pre-filter WSP-J a week ago and all is great. The system works as advertised and my well water is now refreshingly clear, clean, odor-free and tasty. Many thanks to Sean and John for their patience with my questions and just generally their respect for the consumer.A couple of tips for those interested in this productโฆ1) Test your water using a reputable lab to make sure you know the water quality youโre working with and what specifically you need to address with regard to it. Make sure to test for lead too! I was a little elevated so I installed under sink filters as a separate measure. Retested and Pb levels could not be detected.2) Carefully read the instruction booklet and watch the installation video(s) online (YouTube is a good place).3) if your water inlet to the filters is left to right you will need to reverse the filter manifold bracket by removing the 12 bolts, turning the bracket 180 degrees and then reinstalling the bolts.4) It is a good idea to attach a 3-4 foot section of a 2 x 6 piece of wood to the wall where the filters are to be mounted. This will bring the filters away from the wall enough to easily work with them when installing the housings and also in the future when replacing the filters.5) Definitely install bypass piping with at least one shut off valve. Also not a bad idea to install a drain valve in-line before the filters and after the pressure tank.6) Make sure to add pressure gauges inline before and after the filters. This will allow you to monitor filter flow and know when to replace them.6) it is very important to put 15 wraps of plumbers tape on all fittings to be installed on the housing manifold.7) It is also important to lightly coat the housing o-rings with plumberโs silicone grease before you install it.8) After installation is complete let the water run for about 15 minutes before using. The water will be a little cloudy for a day or so but not to worry.Again, this is a great water filtration system so far as I can tell.Update 12 mos laterโฆSystem continues to work wonderfully. I had a bit of a sulfur smell for 10 seconds in early AM at my MBR shower so I called and Sean recommended use of iSpringโs GAC-KDF filter on place of the Carbon filter. It worked, no more smell and I can tell other minerals or metals are being filtered from my well water too by the way my hair feels after a wash/rinse.Thanks to Sean and iSpring for selling great products and continuing to provide sage advice.

Immediate results: softer hair and skin... also installation notes
Update: July 21, 2023...It's been a couple of years with the system now and it still performs well. I've replaced the filters twice and haven't had any issues with taste, water pressure, or leaks. We've also noticed that the showers don't have hard water deposit build up.The three filters we use are:1) iSpring FP25B High Capacity 20โ x 4.5โ Water Replacement Cartridge Fine Sediment Filter, 5 Micron, 1 Piece, White for $24.002) iSpring FM25B Iron Manganese Reducing Whole House Water Filter Replacement, High Capacity 4.5" x 20" for $75.843) iSpring FC25B Whole House Water Filter Replacement Cartridge, CTO Carbon Block, 20โ x 4.5โ for $40.70Total filter replacement for 1-year: $140.54 not including tax.I've included two photos of the fine sediment cartridge during replacement after 1-year of use and was impressed but also shocked to see the amount of sediment in public drinking water. I used a paper towel to clean the bottom of the blue cylinder, which you can see in the photo.Still recommend this system 10/10.--Original review: January 15, 2021My mother has eczema and has been in need of a water filter / conditioning system for some time. Note that this system is not a water softener in the traditional sense. While I do use the magnetic field from the iSpring add on, and it seems to be helping, itโs not the same as a salt water softener system. Which is great as I prefer it that way. Out of all the systems I researched this is the one that best fit my momโs needs. While a salt water softener system is great for bathing, I donโt consider salt water softeners healthy in the long-run when trying to manage sodium intake.Happy to report in just the first few days she says her hair and skin feel softer and her skin doesnโt irritate as it usually does after a shower or bath. Letโs see how the system holds up under her water usage in 6-12 months. While these results are great, itโs still preliminary. That being said I felt it would be helpful to share my installation notes should anyone else do a DIY (do it yourself) installation. Before diving in I wanted to access the difficulty level of an install so I called a plumber for an on-site quote. He quoted me a range of $500 - $700 for a few hours of labor and parts. He also suggested installing it close to the main water inlet for the home. The other alternative was close to the water heater. Also good to note that the iSpring system only comes with the filters, filter housing, and mounting bracket. No other plumbing fittings are included. The water inlets to the iSpring are 1-inch in diameter, and being that the house runs 3/4 copper pipe I decided to stay with 3/4 copper. I did consider PEX piping, yet copper seemed to be the better fit.I originally wanted to use Nibco press-fit copper fittings, yet theyโre not available in my area. So, the majority of the connections are with Sharkbite. However, the 1-inch to 3/4 adapter needed to be soldered, so unless youโre comfortable with soldering be advised. If you prefer not to solder then use a 1-in x 3/4-in dia Threaded Male Adapter Bushing Fitting. I used 3/4 L copper pipe and cut to length. Take note that copper pipe is measured in thickness by M, L, and K. M is the thinnest and not likely to last as long when compared with L and K. K is the thicker of the three and most durable over time. L type pipe is best suited for indoor water linesSeveral things I feel worth sharing that I learned in the process:When cutting copper pipe make sure to deburr the inside of the pipe or this can cause unwanted water turbulence which can cause pinhole leaks in the pipe overtime. Also, just because the pipe is new it still needs to be cleaned with light grit sandpaper or emory cloth on the ends for the Sharkbite fittings not to leak. And careful not to get any dirt inside the Sharkbite fittings as this can render them less effective as the debris can clog the o-rings inside and cause a leak.Plumbing parts purchased at Lowes for installation:Two 1-in x 3/4 adapterโฆ $3.59 each x 2 = $7.18Two Sharkbite Brass 3/4-in Push-to-Connect Ball Valveโฆ $21.98 each x 2 = $43.96Nine Sharkbite 3/4 90-degree elbow push fittingsโฆ $10.28 each x 9 = $92.52One BernzOmatic Torch Kit for soldering the two 1-in x 3/4 copper pipe adaptersโฆ $22.48One 3/4 x 5 foot type L copper pipeโฆ $16.18One copper tube cutter for tight placesโฆ $9.98Total parts cost: $192.30 (not including sales tax)What Iโd include and still might now that the system is installed and working is a pressure relief value. Rather than have to spray water all over the place when I go to replace the filters, Iโd should have installed a pressure value similar to what is found on many water heaters. That way I can release the pressure into a bucket rather than have it spray all over the place. All in all I learned a lot and hope that my experience can help others. So far the system is great! 10/10 would recommend.

Solid system solid company
First, a shout out to Sean at customer support who saved my diy installation of this 3-stage filtration system. I stupidly melted the 1โ outlet port of the unit by soldering a final fitting too close to the polycarbonate housing. The copper fitting in the outlet port pulled out directly covered in melted plastic. Sean took pity and fedexed an entirely new cap bracket at no added cost. How did I then (how can you) avoid making the same mistake? If youโre using copper pipe with sweat fittings, for the fittings next to the housing, which you will want to join last, use sharkbite couplings rather than sweat couplings. Expensive ($10 vs $2) but essential. Keep heat away from the unit. See photo. You could also use copper unions but I was told by a builder friend they are more finicky (and similar cost). One other tip. If your water flow goes left to right rather than right to left (as shipped), just unscrew all 16 lag screws holding the caps to the bracket and flip the bracket around. Ignore the water flow sticker and instead pay attention to the in and out imprint on the caps. This is not described well in the manual.Unit now working and delivering clean water. No sediment, no rust color, and carbon filtered. Great. What I most like about this unit is that it feels over-engineered. Heavy duty no nonsense components.

iSpring whole house filter system
iSpring whole house filter systemWe needed to replace an older oversized filter system for our well water. Based on the many positive reviews about iSpring we decided to give it a try. We did not regret it, on the contrary we were agreeably surprised with the quality of the products and excellent technical support. After a few phone calls and mail exchanges with the technicians, we got all the information needed for a successful system setup. Itโs not so much about just buying any filter, but the right filters, combination, tailored for the specific application and water source. Worth to mention that the technical support staff was very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly.Based on their recommendations we installed :WSP jumbo spin down filter 100 microns, 3 stage filters sediment combo , iron manganese, heavy metals, plus an additional WDS 150K to reduce scale. This purified water goes into a reservoir tank 1100 gal and from the tank to an additional carbon block filter and the UV 55FS. Result: crystal clear water, no odor whatsoever, good in taste and much better than most of the bottled waters. The installation was no problem and everything worked flawless, no water leaks. However, only after a few weeks the UV lamp burned out and this failure was reported to iSpring. The problem was immediately solved by John from technical support, there was no need for lengthy explanation, he arranged to send us all the required parts a new ballast resistor/switch, a flow meter and wow even 2 replacement lampโs.Replacement was easy and everything works perfect. The filters are now in use for more than ยฝ year and there is no pressure drop along the filters and the water is as pure as it can be. What more do you want?5 stars and highly recommended.

Itโs easy like Sunday morning. Easy to install, Easy on the palate and Easy on the wallet.
This filter was recommended by a few of my friends and even a couple clients (Iโm a decorator) and I must say it worked out swimmingly. The shipping and packaging met all my OCD expectations. Every piece arrived scratch free and in showroom condition. Set up was a breeze and Instructions were easy to follow. Now to be honest, I must admit -I had little to do with the install (because i just canโt be bothered) but i did open my finest Pinot to watch my young handsome (eye candy) plumber install said filter and due to his expertise and my OCD it worked out perfectly. If install time is a deciding for you, It took about 1 hour to install. Mind you we decided to do all the copper piping along with two back-up valves (we used hot and cold methods) and the only Hang-up we ran into was; the threads on the side (out) outlet for the pipe to join leaked a bit upon first attempt so we just added more โcaulking ?โ Or โgoopโ(no Gwyneth) to line the hole for the pipe (sounds so sexual ;) haha) but alas it worked out amazingly and we have been enjoying smooth refreshingly clean water ever since. Water that wins over even my most discerning of house guest palate. Finally no MORE piles of plastic wasted on our usual hundreds of FIJI water bottles we go thru each month.Albeit just a smidge ;) of plastic used to make this amazing filter system... but we choose our battles...right?So given these factors i Highly recommend this filter system and hope you go out and get you one.Do it for your health,And for Mother EarthAnd save sum Money along the wayEnjoy!

Great Whole-House Filter with Excellent Support
Weโve been using this iSpring whole-house filtration system for about three years, and itโs been a great addition to our home. The replacement filters are always surprisingly brown when itโs time to change them, which really shows how much theyโre removing from our city water. The water tastes great throughout the house, and weโve been very happy with the overall performance.I recently had a question about the system, and Matt in customer support was fantastic. He was responsive, knowledgeable, kept me informed, and quickly arranged a replacement head unit to resolve the issue. Itโs refreshing to deal with a company that stands behind its products with excellent customer service. Thanks again, Matt!

Easy install, immediate results
UPDATE AFTER SEVERAL WEEKS OF USE...Had a couple small leaks from the top of the blue filter housings. These were easily fixed by further tightening the housings. This leads me to my only complaint so far... the installation instructions advise against "overtightening" the blue filter housings. Just exactly what does this mean? I was careful not to torque the housings beyond what I thought was correct. However, the slight leaks required me to tighten even further- and actually quite tight. The instructions should be more clear on the correct amount of tightening required. Also- pro tip- before attempting to tighten you'll need to relieve pressure on the system by opening the bypass branch and opening the drain valve. Otherwise you'll be tightening against the pressurized system- which is not possible. Other than this unclear instruction, the system continues to work great and the results are excellent.INITAL REVIEW: Today I installed this system in my house. It took about three hours of total work. The house has moderately hard well water, and I installed this unit between the well and softener. Although the softener is doing its job, we were still not pleased with the odor and color of the soft water. Several light clothing items and bed sheets have been stained, and the sinks accumulated reddish stains- so we decided to purchase this iSpring system. I have noticed an immediate improvement in color and odor- but this is way to early to declare victory... we need to experience it over some time. That said, I wanted to comment on the ease of installation. I've seen several reviews where buyers complained about leaking and other difficulties. I can say that I had absolutely no problems in the assembly/installation. No leaks, no missing parts, easy to follow instructions. I am a very confident DIY guy- so that helps I'm sure- but here are some essential DIY tips...1) You do not need to hire a plumber!! Use PEX plumbing materials with copper crimp rings and plastic fittings. Plumbers will tell you to stick with copper, but this is nonsense! PEX is SO easy to work with and meets all codes. Use a Sharkbite fitting to attach to existing copper lines if needed, but otherwise save money and use the PEX crimp ring method. And, use a 1" male thread to 3/4 Sharkbite plastic reducer coupling to connect the filter manifold to your plumbing (assuming you have 3/4 lines). There are multitudes of YouTube guides for using PEX. I live in the Midwest and use Menards- they have all the materials needed in stock.2) Assemble the entire filter manifold along with the PEX lines and by-pass valves on a 1/2 plywood panel on your work bench prior to mounting to the wall. This is so much easier than crimping PEX rings when the unit is hanging in a tight space at an awkward angle. After you finish on your bench, you'll have just two lines (in and out) to connect after you hang the panel in its location. (Don't hang and tighten the three filters until your unit is on the wall). Doing this pre-work on the bench also minimizes the time your water is shut off. I only had my water off about twenty minutes to make the two splices needed.3) Use the plumbing layout guide provided. I saw a complaint that someone couldn't relieve pressure when taking off a filter- but this would never be a problem if the instructions for positioning by-pass and shut-off valves are followed.Hope these tips help. We are looking forward to evaluating the water quality over the next several weeks to confirm what we've initially seen.

Great system
Just got it installed. Easy installation, leak free with the use of Teflon tape and pipe dope on the 1" NPT fittings.Unit appears to be well built, solid housing. Easy instructions to change inlet side. One thing I wish it had would be a built in pressure relief or fittings on the bottom of the housings to easily drain the water and pressure to aid in filter changes.Overall seems good, improved my water quality.

Great product, great customer service
This was my second purchase from Ispring. I have the 50micron spin down filter and the whole house filter system installed on my well water. The water is now clean and clear and does not have anymore metallic smell. The I like this system because it leaves the minerals in my water while removing what I want removed. It was also very easy to install. I am a plumber, but it would be easy enough for any DIYer. I needed an extra part for the system and Sean sent one to me promptly. Their customer service is great.

Good product
If you are handy and are well equiped to do this job, you can manage yourself. Overall the product is a good quality product, it is also sturdy could say commercial grade. As for the most important, the efficiency of the product, I could tell right away that the quality of the water was better, will see when I will changed the filter in 12 month.I recommand the product for the quality but too early for the efficiency.
