Why does this not work at night?

The battery back-up needs to charge up. Be sure that you have the switch, on the back of solar panel, in the on position all of the time. Also, make sure that the solar panel is facing the sun as much as possible.

Can I replace the solar panel?

Yes I did mine stopped working one week after I got it Tried to get supplier to provide replacement. Still waiting so I used another panel I had for my fish pond Works great . But supplier should have replaced panel Problem with dealing with third parties thru Amazon hit or miss

What are the dimensions of the fountain?

the founain is great it realy set off our camp sight

Do i have to charge battery first use?
