Affordable, Great Quality
My Dell Precision M4600 had a completely shot battery. The Dell branded ones cost upwards of $100 which is ridiculous. I found this battery for less than half the price of name brand and it works perfectly! I get about 3 hours of battery time which is typical for this size battery on my laptop. I would definitely order again and maybe keep a second one as a backup for working while traveling.

Battery Works: Holds full charge and discharges uniformly
Bought this battery as a replacement for my original battery in my 3.5 year-old Dell M4800, where the old battery was only lasting less than 45 minutes per charge. This new battery is working great, lasting between 3.5 and 4.5 hours depending on what I am doing. It drains at a uniform rate, so it is very easy to predict when I need to plug back in and re-charge. I have been using it daily for nearly 3 weeks now, with no degradation in performance. In the past, I have purchased a few replacement batteries for laptops and have always found that they either could not hold a full charge from the start, or that the battery's performance degraded noticeably within the first month of use.I have not had any problems with this battery, it is working far better than I expected.

Did the job
exact replacement for our laptop at 1/3 the price of the factory ... holds a charge fairly well after conditioningBE AWARE that in the process of checking out the new battery, we discovered the reason our original battery had failed ...Our power supply , which we used to run the laptop fine without a battery present for over 2 years, and still can , WOULD NOT charge the new battery ... We obtained another power supply, IDENTICAL model and part number to the unit we already had, and bingo, the new charger was instantly recognized and began charging this battery right upConditioning of the battery followed our laptop's factory recommendation ... with battery and charger out & machine shut off, hold down power button for a few MINUTES to clear CMOS , then install battery, turn machine on and hook up to charger... as machine begins power up hit F2 repeatedly (on our model, yours may differ) ... This brings up the diagnostics menu, which includes "Battery Information" ... use this as your monitor of charge status ..Charge your battery fully, shut things down & remove the battery and allow it to cool to room temp. Then reinstall battery, but not the charger and check diagnostics. Then run the machine on battery power until your power indicator shows approx 40% power remaining ...Again , shut things down and remove battery & allow it to cool, then reinstall and charge to 100% ... remove the charger and run on battery power til about 40% is remaining then shut down , remove battery and allow to cool, then reinstall and charge ...Repeat this procedure several times ... Our diagnostics results started at 1 hour 45 mins remaining at 100% charge and went up to 4 hours 50 mins after repeating the above procedure 3 times ...Your mileage may vary , but we are pretty happy

Day 1 impressions.
Battery seems to be of good quality. Worked right out of the box in my m6800. Super easy to install and replace. I noticed that they are Samsung SDI cells so they should last a while.

Dead Within a Month
We bought this to replace an already dead battery. It worked alright for about a month (it would give the laptop about an hour of life after being fully charged). But after about a month (just outside the return window) the battery doesn't hold any charge. As soon as the power cable is removed, the laptop dies. Really disappointed at how terrible this battery is.

Works great.
This one was a winner. I'm always skeptical of ordering replacement Li-Ion batteries. I've gotten many inferior replacement batteries from so many places. I received this replacement battery for my old Dell laptop promptly. I fully charged it as suggested for new batteries and then let left the laptop running for as long as the battery was able to calibrate the laptop's remaining charge estimate. This is the standard thing to do with a new battery. I was impressed. The battery lasted almost 6 hours with the laptop operating nominally (no DVD playing or other hard work). Hopefully this battery will continue to give me good service for a couple of years.

Excellent performance with this battery
When I first got by second-hand laptop, I bought a different replacement battery from Amazon and got a 1 to 2 hour charge on my laptop. I lived with this for a while thinking it was normal, until it got to the point it was only giving me about a half hour charge. Enter this battery from Solice and wow! what a difference. Not only does it take less time to fully charge (about 45 minutes) but I can now work a good 5 hours without needing to plug in. From now on I will buy all my replacement batteries from Solice. I consider this to be not merely a replacement but truly an upgrade to my laptop!

Typical knockoff aftermarket battery
TL;DR: I am giving this battery 3 out of 5 stars because it works but doesn't have the best life relative to its cost. I wouldn't recommend buying it. Instead go to eBay and get the same quality product for cheaper.Pros:1) computer detected it right away and no problems with anything like that.2) easy installCons:1) Price was high relative to product quality (battery life)2) Battery life is ok but not that great3) battery was not as picture shown - the blue bar in the seller photo indicates that the battery at least looks more like a genuine dell battery and is somewhat misleading. As a stop-gap measure to have a battery that functions and allows you to unplug your old laptop, it is an acceptable option. For nearly $60 I would expect a battery that can actually last, say, at least 3-4 hours under normal conditions. What I expect from these cheap aftermarket batteries (and I've bought about 10 over the years) is that they give about 60-80% operating time as an actual new dell battery (e.g. 4-5 hrs vs 6+ hrs), and that the operating time decrease as the battery ages to about 20-40% by the time the battery is a year old (e.g. 2-3hrs), and then just continue decreasing and be basically unusable by the end of the second year. This is my first unplugged session, and I've been on it for almost an hour, and my computer says it has 2.5 hrs left and is at 70%. Anybody with any experience will know not to trust those battery life estimates from windows (the % charge and time remaining tend to go up and down independently for one thing). When I unplugged it started at 98% and quickly dropped. Dropping 28% in 50 minutes gives almost exactly 3 hrs total life. So that is what I expect: 2.5-3.5 hrs total life on a full charge. That is reasonable for $60 as long as I continue to get that at least for the next year. If I am getting 1 hr life a year from now I will be extremely disappointed! My last one was supposedly a dell genuine (it was branded as such and had the correct housing etc, but I doubt it was really a dell genuine battery) and it lasted just under 3 years. So just about 3 years again THAT battery costed $30 on eBay. If I had to do it over again, I would just buy it on eBay direct from China. There are still many similar options right now.
