While this book is not a comprehensive encyclopedia of crime, it makes a judicious selection of some of the more famous (or infamous) acts of man's inhumanity to man. It manages to present just enough examples of each category of criminal activity without just becoming a boring litany of bad behavior. I must admit, it can be a bit depressing to see the depths some of our fellow human beings can sink to, but it is a compelling read non the less.

If this is a subject that interests you then buy this book. It has a great variety of information with wonderful pictures. It’s easy to read and comprehend for all ages.

Well-researched overview of "crime".
This is an excellent book for what it is - an overview and short synopsis of 99 real-life crimes. The book is separated into major categories (organized crime, murder, kudnapping, etc). I recommend this book. Please mark if you find my review helpful. Thank you so much!

Great book to read even if you have been reading true crime for several years. Great layout for the book
Even for a seasoned reader of true crime novels and stories, This book is presented in a manner that I feel most people would enjoy. The stories are short but factual and you can always research the crimes on your own. I enjoyed reading this book and look forward to other books on other topics.

Interesting, but short
Pretty interesting stories but a couple I knew really well and they differed from books that only were written about that one subject.

Great book for people that love crime. Awesome add to a book shelf! It’s eye catching and informative. Bought for a friend who’s so busy with kids and work to actually invest in reading a novel but she loved this.
