I only heat with wood and this helps me keep the fires at the right temp. .I tend to keep a fire too low and that gets the chimney dirty. My art studio is only heated when I'm working or when it gets really cold and I can see this through the glass door of my studio from my kitchen so I don't have to run in and out checking on the fire. I really like this gizmo.It's so simple and yet so effective .It sticks really well to the pipe or the stove.Great price too.

These are great for the black piping on your wood stove. Gives an easy read on when to start controlling the burn in the stove. I had one directly on the stove - (it's not for that) as the stove gets too hot. The thermometer still works but color has burnt out. These have good strong magnets to keep them where you put them.

I don't think it's as accurate as it should be. Not using it as intended either. My pellet grill didn't come with a temperature gauge so instead of drilling a hole in the lid voiding the warranty I decided to stick one of these on the side. It doesn't show that the grill gets very hot compared to the digital probe.

Not only did it fall off the pipe and completely demagnetize after first use at 400°, the paint is not high heat paint and rubs off like chalk after 1 use, so after that, you couldn't read anything. Temp was off by 80° too which could be bad for your stove if it is lesser quality, but bimetal thermometers aren't the most accurate to begin with. These are a joke and complete waste of money.

I ordered a three pack but one at the top of the stove pipe one about a foot off the stove and one right on the stove. I can monitor my fluestack temperatures and also monitor how hot my stove is. The ones on the stove pipe, incidentally let me know when I can close things down. Once they get hot enough, then I know I've got a good draw on my flu and all is good. Before that sometimes I would have a tendency to try to close it down a little too soon before the pipe was heated up enough to get a good draw and the firewood basically smolder out. These are also great for monitoring your temps and make sure that you don't get things way too hot. Would recommend anyone

So disappointed!! We had one where the numbers wore out so I ordered these thinking of have a long supply. Nope. None of these read correctly. Not even close. Don't buy!!!!! Update: increased the star rating to 3 because the company actually contacted me to refund me via Amazon credit. They at least took accountability for their product that didn't work.

These thermometers work great. They are all very accurate in temperature and very easy to read.

Just what I was looking for. Works great. I recommend 5 stars.
