This is my second order of these! They are super cute and allow me to leave my plants for a couple of weeks knowing they will be self watered!

This is my 2nd and 3rd set. These hold water for about 1-2days before going dry giving you a grace period if you don't have time to water . I have maders in pots each with these birdies. Works for both in and outdoors. On the two pots I don't have enough birdies for those plants are in drought status. I got the pineapple variety a decade ago but it's hard to fill with water. These are a breeze. And transparent so you can see water levels. No complaints. Continue to return to buy more

SECOND UPDATE: Upon seeing my review and first update (below) and the fact that I received a used product, the company reached out to me and offered, and supplied, a 100% refund without requesting return of the item. Considering that the waterer is working as it should, and the company gave me a refund for accidently shipping a used product, I can say I am now 100% satisfied. The birdies work, just make sure you water all the way down to the bottom of the potted plant and then place the filled bird. It will dispense water as the water in the soil dries out. If you place it in a pot of soil that isn't totally moistened to the bottom, then the water will dispense very quickly to moisten all the soil. The birdies are cute in the potted plant. Impressed with customer service reaching out to me. UPDATE: By third time I refilled this waterer, the water is going down way slower than before. I've updated and added a star for that. Even though I watered the plant before using this self-waterer the first two times, maybe the very deepest layer of the soil wasn't moist enough so that's why the water went down so quickly. I've taken responsibility for that possibility and have upgraded my rating accordingly. However, I was still sent a returned item that wasn't repackaged properly at all, and even had a dirt mark on one of the 4 bird-waterers of the set. I paid for new and got either used or simply opened and returned item. That's deceptive business practice. If I pay for new and you give me a returned item at the very least make sure it's not dirty and that it's packaged properly. 1) These are plastic. I thought they were glass. I probably didn't read carefully. 2) I watered my plant, then filled the bird. In under 24 hours 3/4 of the water was gone. It seems to me that it's dumping a lot of water. This won't work for more than if you're gone a day or two. So far, not impressed but mostly super annoyed that they sent me a used/returned item when I paid for new.

These are both functional and really cute. They were actually a bit larger than I expected based on the photos, but that ended up being a good thing since they can hold more water. They seem well made, and I like the design—nice way to add something decorative while still being practical. What I like: Cute, decorative design Larger size holds more water Solid build quality Easy to use I haven’t fully tested them long-term yet, but first impression is very positive. If they perform as expected, these will be a great addition to my garden setup.

It's OKAY but not amazing. It's good only for when you're away from home for maybe a week or two. I would not recommend using this regularly, it will waterlog your plants and cause root rot. I docked two stars because the product was inconsistent. There were some "birds" whose water just went right out and immediately started dripping, and other "birds" that worked more properly and dripped water every now and then.

These watering spikes are absolutely adorable! I chose the bird-shaped design, and they add such a cute touch to my plants while being super functional. So far, they’ve been working really well to keep my plants watered when I’m away for long periods, busy, or even when I simply forget. It’s like having a tiny plant-sitter perched right in the pot. I haven’t had any issues at all—they’re easy to use, reliable, and a great combination of style and convenience. Definitely a great find for any plant lover!

Please buy. I bought these for my office plants since I work from home often now and they are fantastic! They are keeping them alive. To say how great they are I’m going to compare them to a different waterer I bought, the glass chicks with a thin stem. These colorful super cute birds have an open mouth so you can pour the water straight in (as opposed to the others without an opening where you have to pull it out of the dirt, unclog, and try to refill thru a small stem). That being said they are also much cleaner, as you don’t ever have to remove them. They also utilize terra cotta which will slowly release the water into the soil. And they are much cheaper than any others I’ve seen on Amazon. I’ve even started using them at home because I feel they work better than my flooding a plant every once in awhile. Perfect!

It just arrived broken, but getting a replacement. The base is ceramic I believe. The top is plastic. Very cute!

A plant I had for four years, which stayed the same, suddenly grew an extra two branches within two weeks of using this! (See the pics!). It also nourished my fussy African violet enough and it has flowered after years of clinging on for dear life! (See pic) So I bought myself another two sets for all my pots! My mum who is a total green thumb,used one and her plant doubled in size! I also bought some other mushroom ones but they don’t work as well as these! These make a great gift too

Wonderful product. Does exactly what I need to do. Now I don't have to remember to water my plants.

The ones that worked worked well. Test them out before use. I think three worked which was all we needed. Only for small pot plants.

These do not hold water for long (not even a few hours) so they aren't effective as 'self watering' rather just an alternative to watering the plant directly. I bought these for 'self watering' for plants like ferns to keep them moist and for times that I'm away for a few days, unfortunately they won't work for this purpose as they don't hold the water and they don't slowly release the water.
