MARLOWE. No. 102 Men’s Body Scrub Soap (Variety Trio): Expensive, Yes. Worth It, Also Yes.
This is the best soap I’ve used in a while. Possibly ever. The scents are clean and balanced. Present, but not loud. You smell good without announcing it. The exfoliation actually works. Not decorative grit. Real scrub. It leaves your skin feeling noticeably smoother without feeling sandblasted. The bar itself is substantial. It has weight. It lasts. You don’t watch it dissolve after three showers like some more “artisanal” options. The downside is the price. It’s not casual soap money. This is “wait for a promo code” soap. That said, it earns its keep. It’s comparable to Baxter of California Exfoliating Body Bar, which is high praise. If you like that one, you’ll like this. If you’ve never tried either, start here. Then stock up when it goes on sale.

Love the scratchiness
These soap bars have a great scent and I love the scratchiness on my skin. You of course have to be careful with your sensitive body parts but I feel like I'm getting a good scrub when I use them. The soap rinses off well so I feel really clean when I'm done.

Best soap for men
Love this soap. Feels great and smells wonderful. Lather is fast and satisfying. Haven't found a recipe I didn't like.

Very good soap!
It’s excellent for getting the sweat and grime off after working outside in the heat and humidity. It’s a good size: big enough to last longer, but not so oversized that you can’t hang on to it easily. It’s a little rough when you rub the bar directly on your skin, but I like that for knees and elbows. It also removed the dead flaky skin from my sunburned arms. If you lather it up in your hands you can wash anywhere else you don’t want the abrasive effect. I’m completely satisfied with this product. I would prefer a lower price, but I’m willing to pay what higher quality costs.

For women too!
I love exfoliating bar soap and it’s so hard to find. This one is marketed to men, but soap doesn’t discriminate, right?!? It smells great and the exfoliation texture is great. I felt dry after using it, which was my only complaint. Overall, good exfoliating bar soap! Worth the price.

Actually exfoliates without tearing up your skin
These soap bars are the real deal. The exfoliation is noticeable but not aggressive, you can feel the scrub working without it feeling like sandpaper. After a shower my skin feels smoother and cleaner than with regular soap, and there's no tight or dried out feeling afterward. The variety trio is a nice touch, three different scents to switch between so you don't get bored. They all smell good in a clean, masculine way without being overpowering. Bars are a solid size and last a while if you're not letting them sit in water. If you've been using regular body wash and want to step it up, this is a good move. Will reorder.

Soap that actually works
If you like a good exfoliating soap, this is it. You know it is getting the job done. My absolute favorite soap.

From Scrub Love to Sticker Shock ⭐⭐
Once upon a time, in a steamy shower somewhere in Florida, a man discovered a soap that truly understood him. It had grit—just the way he liked it. Not that wimpy, smooth stuff. No, this soap had scrubbing power that made him feel like he could sand a piece of wood with his forearms. I, the trusty Amazon orderer of the household, was thrilled to find a 3-pack of this magical bar soap for just $21. Win-win, right? Fast forward to today, when I went to re-order... and bam! That price tag smacked me like a soggy loofah. $32 for three bars? For soap?? That’s more than $10 a bar—suddenly we’re washing like royalty, minus the luxury scent. I bought these in March 2025 and as I write this review its June 2025. Speaking of scent: we both agreed these bars don’t actually smell like much of anything. You could probably tell someone it’s “unscented beach boulder” and they’d believe you. It’s not offensive—just barely there, if at all. To be fair, the grit factor is still on point, and my husband loves that sandpaper-for-skin feel. But at this new price? There are plenty of other bar soaps out there with solid grit, better scents, and a much more reasonable cost per bar. So yes, it cleans. Yes, it exfoliates. But unless the ingredients are being hand-chiseled from a mystical mountain, this isn’t worth the new price tag. It was a 4-star fling... until inflation ruined the romance.
