I bought the crane truck set because I needed the crane for a construction themed cake I was making for my 2 year old nephew. It had more assembly required than I expected, but everything feels sturdy and substantial and was easy to assemble. I only initially used the crane and a few Warning signs for the cake, and I gave his parents the rest of the set to allow him to use when they felt it was age appropriate, due to the small parts. He insists on taking the crane with him everywhere he goes. They allowed him to play with the various vehicles. He and his older brother play for extended periods of time with them. There is a lot of value with this quality set. I think most of this set is ok for this 2 year old, because he's not one to put stuff in his mouth.

Ordered for my 2 year old. The Crain he keeps pulling apart. But the trucks he absolutely loves. He's wrecked them about 100 times today and are still in good shape. The trucks are pretty sturdy. The Crain isn't so much. Is recommend an older child for the Crain. I'm going to put it up until he's a little older. Everything else he plays with great and doesn't break. 100% recommend for the money. You get what you pay for. Can't expect all metal when the price is this low.

I wrote a previous review stating this was not as pictured... well, turns out my husband just never brought this one out of his truck until yesterday. So, I am so sorry for the misleading review! If I can find it, I’ll take it down. Anyway, product IS as pictured, and very cool. I took off 1 star because it is not as well made as other iplay ilearn toys I’ve bought, and that’s what I expected for the price, quality. It is more plastic and hardly any metal. The small trailer truck is an entirely different scale from the other items. The crane works, but could really use some stops and guides to keep little kids from tearing it all up. Overall, still a good set of toys!

Update: Amazing customer service from this company! I got in touch about the broken backhoe and I was contacted by email by a real person who arranged for me to get a replacement. Definitely impressed by their response, and the set is perfect now! Original Review: This was the only set that I could find that had a really awesome crane, so I bought it just for that. I couldn't believe all the other great stuff that came in the set! I used the little road barriers, caution sign, wheelbarrow and shovel for the my son's 4th birthday cake toppers, and also tiny construction vehicles that I already had. The rest of the set is going to be a Christmas present for my son, and you'd never know it wasn't complete since there's still so much there. Two for one! Unfortunately, the backhoe arrived broken, which is a bummer, since that's my son's favorite construction vehicle.

Bought this as a gift for my 4 year old grandson who is really into construction vehicles and cranes (his dad is a crane salesman). There are a few issues, and personally, I wouldn’t buy again because of these issues. The vehicles are on the smaller side, which is OK but just something to be aware of. Also, the plastic box that you have to assemble and that is supposed to hold the vehicles and crane needs definite improvement. It’s a cute idea but the box needs to have a definite easy opening and closing top. An adult will most likely have to get all the pieces in just right so the box will close, but once closed, it’s really hard to get opened - especially for a child. It needs to have an easy opening/closing lid. The other issue is the crane crank handle got broken in like one day. My grandson has a crane almost exactly like the one that came with this set but it stays at my house for him to play with when he’s here. We’ve had that crane for at least 2-3 years and it’s never gotten broken even though my grandson lives close so he comes over frequently and plays with it almost every time he’s here - it’s one of his favorite toys. The crank on it is a lot more sturdy and difficult to break than the one that comes on this set. I know everything tends to be made cheaper and less sturdy these days, but I sure wish they would make at least these 2 improvements on this set - it would make it so much better and longer lasting. And more sales hopefully.

The wrapping was tore apart Christmas morning by a ravenous 4 year old and her older siblings. Decorated paper was everywhere and so too was this present left unopened as it was not as shiny or large as some other gifts. Eventually it was opened and the youngest fell in love with it immediately. It was played with most of the day off and on, the crane was the favorite machine out of the bunch as it has actual function that allows it to rise up and down and lower it's hook to pick things up all with just the levers on the crane. But as the days wore on, the excitement for the Blippi excavator song and the excavator toy wore off significantly and one day soon after the crane had its strings cut and ceased to be a crane any longer. The other pieces are now scattered across the plains never to be seen again. Cool toy while lasted though. Would be better if the strings on the crane were resistant to a child with safety scissors.

Wonderful toys for my son he has been playing with them since we got them. All the vehicles are very durable and are able to withstand the punishment put on them from a 3 year old. Highly recommend if your kid is interested in construction vehicles.

We just received the product yesterday and I had accidentally ordered two box sets. It worked out because I actually have two young boy. Best mistake! I am unable to give it five stars simply because I cannot comment on long-term durability just yet. I will however give it a strong four stars. It seems to be of decent quality and as far as imagination it is a fairly complete set. There are different types of equipment that have enough moveable parts to make it that much more interesting. Having the little cones, barrels, barriers and signs make it even better. The price seems a bit expensive but when you compare purchasing it in a toy store it would certainly be comparable these days. Lastly, I had emailed customer service in order to enter into a free toy contest that came with the package. I received not only a generic email, but I also received a personal email the next day. For me this means that customer service is probably not an issue and that is a huge selling feature in my books! All in all, as it stands now, I would say this is a safe buy but careful with wee ones because there are a ton of small parts. My boys are 4 and 6 and this is perfect.
