CHAPIN 78005 12-Quart Low-Profile Oil Drain Pan, Splash-Free Design

Great quality for the price and a really useful item for at-home oil changes. The pan feels durable and holds a good amount of oil without feeling flimsy. It comes with secure plugs and simple instructions, making it easy to use even if you don’t change oil often. I really like that you can conveniently store the used oil in the container until you’re ready to dispose of it, and the design makes pouring it out easy with less mess. Overall, a great value and much more convenient than using a basic open drip pan.

This is so much better than other versions I’ve owned. It holds quite a bit, low profile, and easy to keep clean.

Works great for me and the seals keep it shut. Done 3 oil changes. I would put a box under to elevate it and minimize the splash. On my third change I forgot to open the second port to vent air and it overflowed a huge mess in the garage. Luckily I had multiple layers of cardboard underneath but it still made a mess to clean up.

Do not buy, i had to send it back. Couldn't even use it. The cap doesn't tighten, the teeth on the cap skip if ypu try and tighten it down. They could use some better quality control. If you tried to use it anyhow, the design is so that the oil would pour out if the defective cap was to come off due to it not fitting properly. The little grey caps on top were difficult to screw in as well. I advise you find a different drain pan on here. The big round ones have aways worked for me, and that is what i am buying again. At least if the cap fails on those, the oil won't run out!

This is a nice low profile drain pan that allows you to transport the waste oil to the retailer for recycling. The quality is OK but the actual design leaves a little to be desired. The drain hole in the pan is actually 2 small holes for the oil to drain through into the pan but the problem is they're TOO small. Even with hot 0W40 draining into the pan, it was too restrictive and the oil ended up overflowing the pan. So I modified the pan with a 1 inch holesaw and now the pan works like a champ.

Works as intended. Just don't forget to close the vent before picking up when ready to dump it! You need the vent open when collecting oil and when transferring use oil into a container. Just close vent in between those tasks...LOL

Replaced my old round oil pan with this. More area for oil, filter, and no over spilled. Very easy to drain for recycling. Great buy.

This works exactly as it should. I like how it is low profile to help it fit under my lawn mower and stow away easily between uses. No leaks so far and I think it will be easy to pour into bottles if needed.

Awesome oil pan. Excellent size. Works great when doing oil changes with my Tacoma. The oil pan features a separator for a used oil filter alongside a wide mouth to allow good flow into the pan itself. The pan has 2 plugs that feature large O rings and prevents leaking completely when sat upright or tilted upside down. I will say however, that you should use caution when using this pan in regards to high flowing oil during the drain. My Tacoma loves to dump its oil seemingly as fast as possible and the size of the flow is considerable. I found that if I don’t put the flow directly into the draining hole on the pan, it could splash during the initial few seconds of draining. Otherwise a great product. I’d recommend it.

Very good and doesn't leak. However it almost feels like it's going to spill over as your draining your oil into it because the drain hole and the vent hole are too small, so you'll want to grab a drill and make those holes a little bigger so you don't have to worry about it not draining fast enough and possibly spilling over.
