Good stuff. It works great for longer beards and provides a strong, lasting hold. I use this as a finishing product after my beard balm. The smell is mild and pleasant and wont interfere with other scents. I buy a few when the price goes down to around $10, I would never pay more than that.

I tried a couple of other products when I first started wearing handlebars. I found tinman in walmart and decided to give it a try. Works very well and holds all day. It ships quickly via Amazon but is available from other retailers. it is susceptible to moisture but drinking and eating are rarely an issue.

I’ve been using this brand on my beard for a long time. My Beard comes down to about the center of my chest. It’s great hold all day without the extra shine my wife loves the smell.

I have a shorter, roughly 2" beard that is mostly grey, and I've been searching for months for a "strong hold' beard balm or wax that can keep it looking groomed and professional. Billy Jealousy Tin Man No 1 Beard Wax does a pretty good job of doing so. Despite the name, this has more of a putty, or even a clay-like, consistency rather than being waxy, and while it's easy to get out with the back of your thumbnail, it takes a fair amount of rubbing to get it to spread out between your palms. I use beard oil beforehand, and the residue oil on my palms and beard helps with spreading the beard wax. After brushing it through, I lightly blow dry it on low to help it "set", and then give it one final brush to get everything in place. It might lose its shape a little during the day, but goes back into place fairly easily using a brush or even just running my hands over it. The odor is quite mild and not readily identifiable.The only competitor to this is Urban Nomads Stronghold Beard Balm & Wax (which I reviewed separately). It has fantastic hold, but the vanilla/sugar smell was so strong and persistent my wife asked me to stop using it.

I bought this once a few months ago and really liked it. It had strong hold and kept my flyaways down without being overly sticky. I bought a second tin shortly after to have ready when the first one ran out, and when I transitioned to the new tin, the product had noticeably less hold. It felt different in my hands -- less like the clay texture that the first tin had, and more like a regular balm. Flyaways are back now because of the reduction in hold. Still has a great scent, and functions about as well as most balms, but I'm in the market for something with more hold to keep my (medium-long) beard neater.

Bought this one based on other reviews and it’s a good choice. It has good hold without being too heavy. The only negative is it has a slight (very slight) tint to it. On light or gray color beards it takes some effort to work it in.
