Buffalo horns can be dangers
I ordered a Buffalo horn for my German Shepherd when it arrived she couldn't wait to get it. All was great so I ordered another for my male GSD while the female was chewing the horn she started crying she came to me with the horn caught on her bottom jaw. The horn Had a curl in the end of the horn some how Jill was able to get her lower jaw through the curl and get caught. Had a very hard time getting her freeded from it. The second horn arrived it is straght no problem I contacted Amazon was told they couldn't do anything about it to contact the manufacturer. This I did explaining what happened. I would like to have the horn replaced with a strate horn. Have not heard back from them. I will order another horn in the hopes it arrives straghtThe dogs LOVE them Just be careful when ordering you receive a horn without a curl at the end

My Lab/pitbull mix LOVES this
Ordered this one on a whim, honestly. Pebbles recently had his neuter surgery and he seemed to really begin to relish chewing stuff at a rate more so than before. He was crunching through Yak Chews in hours instead of days, so I wanted something that could give him a real challenge. The horn arrived with just a simple tag looped through a hole in the tip and it easily came off. One of the worst things I find about dog toys these days is the stupid amount of tags and stickers and things that come on them and are hard to come off. One snip and the only danger to my dog on this was removed.Pebbles immediately took to it, chewed it for several hours that day and has spent hours since. We've had this about two weeks now and he's barely made a dent. No smell, no gooey remains left everywhere, no mess at all. I can't wait to see how long this last. In terms of value, this goes infinitely farther than the deer and elk antlers we've gotten him, which are much more expensive and tend to wear down quickly.

Great alternative to nylon!
Our 2 bully breeds destroy even the toughest brands of toys. After our Pitt mix started throwing up, we threw out our vinyl bones and got these instead. Amazing. They work great for knawing, a little stinky but that’s to be expected with a natural horn.

Very Long Lasting & Freshens Breath
My dog has had previous buffalo horns and has always enjoyed them. The price of these is much more affordable than the ones you find in pet stores so I was skeptical of the quality. So far so good. It's extremely durable and smells like any of the other buffalo horns. I have a 60lb American Bully that's a power chewer and he's been working on it for a few weeks now and it's pretty much the exact same. I ordered him the large and it's huge. I probably could have gone with a medium so it would be easier for him to grab onto but he's managing. As with any chew, I always supervise to make sure he isn't swallowing large pieces of it that can't be digested.I will update this review with any changes.

Great Value
My 2 year old Malinois loves these, and I love them for the price. They last well over a month and they don't splinter. When they first start chewing it, there's a swampy smell that isn't the most pleasant but it seems to go away within a few days. You'll want to keep an eye on them when they have it, though. It's not a chew you can leave unattended in a crate because my dog, at least, seems to tear layers/pieces off them. The pieces aren't super sharp and they aren't particularly hard, but I still wouldn't want her ingesting them. After a week or so of picking up the flakes she picks off, the horn is less smelly and I'm more comfortable with leaving her with it when I leave the room--but she's also less interested in it.Since I can get at least 5 of these for the price of a comparably priced antler, I'd say they're a great deal.

Do You Have a Power Chewer?
If so get these. We have two huskies, one is a power chewer and the other is more a moderate chewer, and these horns are awesome for both! They stand up to months of gnawing without any issue. They don’t smell, they’re not slimy (after 30 mins of chewing), they can be rinsed off, they don’t splinter, and our dogs love them. If you like spending a small fortune on rubber toys and brands that say they’re indestructible go for it…and when those toys all fail (and all have failed at our house except for the solid plastic Bullymake Box toys and ropes) you need to buy some of these water buffalo horns and learn that expensive doesn’t always equal quality.PS - These are so good that we throw them out after 3-6 months of use not because they are worn out, but rather because we feel bad for the producer and want to support them by buying new ones every so often ;)

Ck before you buy
This was one of the worst horns ever. It was totally hollow inside and when my dog chews on it, it just splits into shards.

Great chew toy
Love this for my dog. Only downside is the smell when being chewed on.
