Great Battles for Boys: WW2 Europe

My ten years old boy loved WW2 in Europe: Great Battles for Boys. He likes to read about war and it his third book from Joe Giorello. It is an engaging and easy-to-understand account of significant World War II moments designed for young boys. It has pictures and maps so they can have a better understanding about the War and through captivating storytelling and educational material, it provides a valuable introduction to this crucial era, promoting a greater comprehension and respect for the experiences and achievements of individuals during that time.

Saw an ad for the series online and wanted to buy just one book to try. Received with 2 day Prime. Book was new. So, not only does this book have an incredible, intriguing story that sucked in my 10 year old who hates reading and struggles to read, it had me at Hello. The beginning of the book is filled with recipes! Was totally not expecting that! So for this Momma, under promise-over deliver was the theme here. Purchasing the rest of the books! Also look online for worksheets that parents have put together to go along with these books. Totally worth it. Happy Reading! AND Cooking!

Purchased as a Christmas gift for my 15 year old grandson. We purchased two of the series. He loved them. When reading the sample on Amazon, my husband and I loved these books as well. They contain information that you don't learn in school. Very interesting and well written!

Another fantastic installment in the series! This book dives deep into the major European battles of WWII, presenting them in a way that’s exciting and easy for kids to understand. The maps and illustrations were a huge plus, making history both fun and educational.

I bought 2 for a 6th grade boy I tutor. He has a beginning interest in history. He's been 'eating' these books up! These are well written, but not complex to turn a young reader off. There are many alternative resources to listed to dive into if a particular person or event sparks interest with the reader. There is appropriate vocabulary with explanations on some- others open a chance for my student & I to have a deeper discussion to clarify meaning & connect information.

I am having a hard time finding books for middle school age boys that are well written, inspiring and fun to read. This is like someone is personally telling a story in easy to comprehend language. It teaches, and draws the reader in. Well done. Hoping to find more from this author.
