No more pain meds for me! Great Product and a Great cost!
To preface this review, I have had always had knee and joint pains ever since I was a teenager and always relied on pain medication or medicinal wraps to help ease the discomforts. And personally, I hated taking medicine or having to take the painstaking ritual of wrapping up my knee whenever I felt pain. When a friend told me of a alternative treatment known as Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) that can be bought via Amazon, I decided to give it a shot. This is where I started to get weary of the many options that were offered. Most TENS devices seemed just too expensive. And being a poor recent college grad, I decided to take a risk and take the most economical option offered by Famidoc. The product arrived before the estimated delivery date, which is a plus! After making sure to read the instructions clearly, I got to work using this sucker. It worked very well! Within moments, I noticed a drastic reduction in pain and discomfort in my knees. Even after discontinuing to use it, the effect still lasts! On top of having TENS, this device also has EMS capabilities, which is an extra bonus plus!I am very content with this purchase and will definitely recommend it.Pros:1. It Works! I am usually very skeptical of buying products that are so cheap and less reviewed, but since this product was fulfilled by Amazon and seems to have a great warranty and returns policy, I took the risk and it more than payed off!2. Great Quality to Cost ratio. Again, I can't emphasize the effectiveness and quality this product offers. Other products that cost over a hundred bucks seems to offer the same, if not worse, functionality and quality.3. Simplicity of Design. One of the major reasons why I chose this device besides the cost was because of the simplistic design. I like to follow the "keep it simple, stupid" rule. The instructions were very clear, and the options of what I can do with it were not limiting at all! I would definitely recommend this to my less tech-savvy grandparents.4. It is portable and inconspicuous. This is a great function that I have to be quite useful. I can easily stick it in my gym bag or my suitcase when i head off to work. Being able to carry it around with me and having the option to be able to use it whenever convenient is a definite plus in my opinion!Cons:1. I honestly can't think of one. If there was one, it might be that it uses AAA batteries instead of a rechargeable option. It packs a lot of power for just using only AAA batteries. But anyhow, I would recommend to just buy some rechargeable AAA batteries. Conclusion:I highly recommend this product over the many other products offered that are much more expensive and overly complicated. It has saved me a lot of time in the day and has enabled me to discontinue use of my other forms of treatment. I am probably going to order another one and gift it to my grandparents as soon as I am done writing this review!

Works for me, very effective.
Disagree with the negative reviews. This unit is simple to operate. Large local physical therapy clinic uses this model. The principal reasons are that it is inexpensive yet effective. They have a high turnover rate in instruments in general and have found that this unit is satisfactory and cheap to replace. In fact I came here to search for the device and was pleasantly surprised that it was $25. The three AAA alkaline batteries appear to last quite a while and replacement electrode pads are cheap and pretty much universal.I use TENS setting one. I have not experimented with other settings because I have no need. This setting relieves the pain and relaxes the muscle. I have fallen asleep on the couch with the machine in operation without any issues - it turns off after 30 minutes anyway - unless the user specifies a particular time it will default to 30 minutes.I was told at the clinic to adjust the setting until felt, then dial it down one increment, and then five or 10 minutes later increase it by one or two increments as needed throughout the timed cycle. The reason why is because the body adapts to the stimulation and then you crank it up higher to maintain the same level of stimulation.I find it works very well after weekend warrior activity. Specifically, if lower back is in spasm, or if my neck feels like I slept on it wrong, this little unit seems to do well.At the clinic the sequence is as follows: wet heat (hydroculator), manipulation and exercise, TENS therapy for a minimum of 15 minutes and then optional ice packs.I rarely write reviews but I was surprised at the negative reviews so here's my own two cents.Works for me. Helps Blood Circulation during long flights/travel. Sanyinjiao Sp,6 Affordable than my Onrons.
Why did I replace my kidney shaped Omron tens with Famidoc? Because Famido pushes my blood circulation during long flights/travel time as well as my Omron and best of all, it it is attached to a necklace. Very convenient factor. Famidoc pulses can be adjusted stronger than my Omron.1Feb2021. 1st purchase. It's as good as 4 electric tens/ems gadgets I have. For yrs, I used my kidney bean shaped small pocket omron ( it doesn't have a necklace). This Famidoc tens has a convenient necklace. Easy to wear, operate. It has a max 30min auto timer. You can extend your 15min session to 30min. Batt life is ok.Update: 26Feb2023I bought another one today for my wife. She felt how good it helped her blood circulation during our 2 long range flights RT across the pacific. (TYO & HNL) She also found out twas no hassle wearing this. She simply slung it as a necklace so she could move around her seat comfortably. Its cord reached beyond her ST36 pts. up to SP.6. (I had to use my small omron during those flts.) Now, we'll have 2 sets. Ready for our forthcoming flts/tours. One of my sons, the truck driver, is getting this too for his legs blood circulation.Effective pain reliever and points stimulator.HTH. Thanks.

Good unit for a good price but buy extra electrodes
So far I am very happy with the EMS function on this unit. I have neck muscle pain which had been relieved a couple years ago during physical therapy which included EMS use in their office. Unfortunately, I just recently messed my neck up again.I have been setting this unit on the 3rd EMS program on either 3 or 4 intensity. It really relieves the muscle tension and seems to be retraining the muscles to calm down. However, I am disappointed that every program is pulsed stimulation instead of continuous. I thought I remembered that the PT people used continuous stimulation. They claim that the electrodes stick up to 20 times. Yeah, that is nowhere close. I have used it around 5 times, and already the edges of the electrodes are not sticking. I am hoping new electrodes don't cost much.
