Yes it is normal. As long as the bottle hasn't been tampered with you should be fine. Remember to take 3-6 grams 3-4 times a day in an empty stomach. Good luck and I have been taking this supplement for 4 years now and can't imagine why doctors don't prescribe this to anyone with a heart condition or as preventive maintenance.
