WGP Busy Bees Melamine 9 Plates - Set of Four

We were a bit skeptical because of the negative reviews but we love bees so we had to take a chance.The plates are super high quality. They have a matte finish vs a shiny finish. I like the matte finish which makes the plates appear of a higher quality. The plates are not a bright white. They are a beige/off-white.We used them on the patio for a happy hour party with guests. Everyone (literally every single guest) commented on how nice the plates were and how lovely the bees were. This includes a guest who is a curmudgeonly old dude who rarely has anything positive to say. This guy gushed about the plates.They clean up nicely. Shrimp cocktail sauce was on the menu and none of the plates were stained. No knives were used so I can’t say whether the plates would be scratched.I’m thinking of getting a second set. Buzzzzzzz!

A friend had these and I was facinated by the way they look so much like they are paper but are much more durable. I bought these for a gift.

I bought these for my camper trailer, unfortunately they can not be used in the microwave. I had to purchase additional plates to suit my needs.

I really like this set of bee plates. I felt they were a little pricey for a set of four...but I loved the print, so I ordered. They are a very nice weight and clean well. My only disappointment is they are not microwaveable. ..which I must have missed when reading description of product. My fault. Otherwise I would not have bought. They go well in my farmhouse decor kitchen. They're very pretty.

I needed to replace some very old and cracked melamine plates and I saw these and I loved the paper plate look and bee design. I read the reviews and noticed how some people complained about the texture and others didn't. So I figured I'd take a chance. Well let me tell you....the texture is AWFUL! Now I understand what all the fuss is about. It is almost chalkboard feeling. Washing does not help. It is not a smooth texture at all. It is so weird. They feel gritty. I cannot eat off of them. When my silverware scraps the plate it is literally like nails on a chalkboard. It bothers me that much. My husband not much...lol...he couldn't care less. So if you are wanting a smooth surface...keep looking, these are not it.

They seem durable, like design, clean up well. Only complaint is can't use in the microwave.

We do a lot of potluck dinners out atnthe ranch. In an effort to "go green" we all bring our own reuseable dinnerware. These are perfect and everybody loves them. Super light weight.I keep mine in a ziplock in the truck.
