Metal Earth Fascinations Premium Series Monitor & Merrimack 3D Metal Model Kit

This kit is not for beginners. Losts of small aggravating parts and bends. However, still fun to build and looks great complete.

Great design choices and easy to put together

These are fun, for sure. They're doable for almost anybody old enough to assemble and paint a plastic model IF they have the patience for shaping the pieces. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND looking far ahead to see how sections are going to fit together (or even pieces within a section), because the order you attach pieces and what method you use (twist or flatten) and even what direction to twist or lay flat the tabs can be pretty important. I sometimes had to do a partial twist then flatten, in order to get the tab to flatten in a manner that it wasn't in the way of the next connection. Some of the images on the instructions aren't great, but with experience doing them, they get a little easier to figure out, so start with easier models before doing these. That said, these really look good when they're done. This particular kit isn't beginner friendly, but it was one of my favorite models/kits.

I love the Monitor/Merrimack battle due to the advances made by both ships, the models are very accurate.

I have built a few kits of the Metal Earth Models and they are fun to build and usually straightforward. This one requires more patience and care and you need a good set of tools to work with it. The final product is nice.
