PMLAND Inflatable World Globe Beach Educational Balls 6-Counts, 14-16 inch, Light Blue

I bought these world globe beach balls as a learning aid for the grandkids, and, of course, for them to just play with. I consider the money well spent. The balls have the oceans, continents, and countries placed fairly accurately. And the equator, lines of latitude and longitude, and the prime meridian are clearly marked (at least to the eyes of a young person, but I needed a magnifying glass).Are these beach balls map-accurate??? Havens NO! But they are better than I had hoped for when I ordered them. So I happily recommend them to my fellow Amazonians who desire to teach a little something to someone (or simply want a small beach ball which stands about 10 and a half inches high when inflated).

I bought these to use with my family for fun at our indoor pool and to give a few away to family when they came over. These last a long time and they are easy to inflate. They are the size of a regular soccer ball but much lighter of course. I also use them to try and get kids to learn a bit of geography without realizing it. I try to play a game in where they have to say the name of a country or continent or city when they catch the ball or they are out.

The globes are a little smaller than your average globe, but they include latitude and longitude lines, labeled International Date Line, Equator, Tropic of Cancer, and Tropic of Capricorn. They have a legend, scale, compass rose, time comparisons, and labeled political and geographic features. I am so excited to use these inflatable globes in my geography class this year! I think they will really help my students understand and internalize concepts I teach. On top of that, Pmland included a pack of sticky notes, which are so valuable to a teacher. I am very happy with the product and the mindfulness of the company.

They keep their air. The printing is hard to read in spots. It took a week for the strong vinyl odor to dissipate, so buy them well before you want to use them.

Didn't work for MY intended purpose, I needed it to be 14" and they are only roughly 12". But my son loves them and they are fairly durable. I had no problems with inflation, but then again I used a compressor.

It's a good thing it was a 6 pack since the first one I opened wouldn't hold air...because the entire plug fell off! The second one held air....but it's a little lopsided. Works for my purposes, but I'm not amazed.

Well no one mentioned that there were large blue patches covering the land masses on each the poles and parts of Greenland. I had hoped to use these for a project, but these will no longer work. The maps looks fairly accurate otherwise, and there really isn't much distortion along the seams, which is surprising.
