LAURA GELLER Baked Balance-N-Glow Illuminating Powder Foundation - Fair

Love this for mature skin. I’m 46 and have some fine lines. I love that this doesn’t crease or stick in them. It’s light diffusing and gives me a glow. The coverage is on the lighter side, I wish it was fuller so I can skin the concealer but that is the only downside. I have been wearing the Porcelain shade but bought the fair since I’ve gotten tan in the summer. If you have fair skin, definitely go for Porcelain as your shade as the Fair is closer to a Medium/light olive. This foundation is my go to for a five minute face. I use the LG Kabuki for applying.

Mature ladies! THIS WORKS! I know it flies in the face of reason using a powder as foundation, but this product is amazing! I've tried countless foundations (I'm not even kidding) and as a last resort, I decided to give this a try. Good bye to the to the frustration of purchasing makeup modeled by the youngsters that never worked. I'm very light skinned, so I went with "fair" which was too dark, (white neck) but the color and finish was glowy and gorgeous. So I ordered a "porcelains " shade, do one swipe with fair, one with porcelain, then apply. Perfect. This doesn't catch too much in fine lines and wrinkles, just a bit. Not a problem considering the terrible pore enhancing, show EVERY FLAW foundations I've tried Liquid foundations that claimed the opposite. I just go over the wisdom lines (♥️) with a qtip after powder has set a few minutes. Also crazy considering I'm applying powder foundation, I used a primer product called blur by Milani because it was recommended by a mature woman in a make up tutorial. I cannot believe it, but it works, but never worked with liquids! I just ordered Laura Geller primer and received it yesterday, I can't wait to try! I'll do an update. The little extra challenge is ...layering. Another crazy making challenge . Too much and everything piles and is terrible. But yep, that works too! Hoping this helps my mature sisters so I'm giving you the keys. 1. Wash face 2. Vitamin C drops by The Ordinary 3. Apply moisturizer (this is the tricky part because as with foundation, I've been through countless products. I use Eucerin cream!! 4. Apply La roche sunscreen I let this set for at least 20 minutes while I'm having coffee. 5. Apply primer, wait 2 minutes (use a flat brush if you have one) 6. Get busy with my baked powder. Sooooo, wonderful!! The eyeshadows are just as gorgeous, only slightly catches in wisdom lines (dab with qtip). Blush and contour heavily pigmented (last forever) so application brush shape and blender buffs very important. If you can spring for the fancy brushes, great. If not, Elf brushes are dirt cheap and do pretty good, just apply lightly because you can add more, not really take off. This stuff stays put! I hope this helps! Love Love Love this foundation! It doesn't settle in those dang fine lines I'm starting to develop. It doesn't feel heavy. It isn't messy. I hate feeling foundation on my skin. This powder foundation is so lightweight it's like I'm not wearing anything at all! It covers just enough to blend but keeps me looking natural. It also held up when I travelled for work to a more humid area. Thank you Thank you whoever introduced me to this!

I like this product - the color and the coverage, however it becomes like hard pan halfway through the compact. Have to use a spoolie brush to scrape it in order to get at the powder.

I have never loved a foundation so much. Being 61 years old, I loved the coverage didn’t feel heavy it didn’t sink into the fine line or pores. It was very light and gave my skin a glow!

There was a big stink about this product but I didn’t feel it covered very well at all. I actually think it’s causing me to breakout I don’t typically wear face makeup but was curious about the product bc there was a huge stink about its coverage for ppl who are aging . However I didn’t feel it was all that . My opinion though.

One of my favorite powders . It is lightweight, easy to use, with a silky texture. It is easy to apply and blends in nicely.

I wear a very light foundation then put the Laura Gellar Balance n Glow Illuminating foundation over the top to give a beautiful light from within. It is very a suttle glow , which looks beautiful. Doesn't settle into fine lines and wrinkles and is buildable. I get a deeper shade to put all over my large forhead.

I have struggled for a few years to find a foundation that evens out colour and minimizes pores and blemishes and does not look and feel cakey. I thought one did not exist, I have wasted so much money trying so many different products. Well today I found it, the Laura Geller baked balance and glow foundation. I see comments about it being expensive, honestly for those struggling to find something for mature skin it’s worth every cent. Love it.
