Excellent mic for the even better price I paid.
Bought this mic brand new for $28 shipped because I had money from Amex cashback and it was on sale. Sweet! Everything worked as advertised. No self noise like some had mentioned. All patterns worked as expected. The overall sound is somewhat dark like there is a slight de-esser or a high pass filter running, the highs are not overly squashed but definitely noticeable compared to other condenser mics. But that's what they mean by its vintage sound signature. I don't mind it. It does have a fuller warmer sound which works well with my voice. Very happy with this purchase. Also the shockmount on the unit I received uses rubber connectors, not suspension bands, so it feels more sturdy.

A magical microphone for an amazing price.
I've watched MANY YouTube reviews about this microphone and have yet to see anyone come away with a less than outstanding opinion of this microphone. I don't have any experience with the earlier models of the E100 series, but this one is fantastic. Everything on it just sounds IMPORTANT. I use it for voiceover and podcasting and have managed to sell two other folks on it already. I wish they would include the CAD-branded foam windscreen with it (come on CAD, it's not expensive and it would make folks happy), but other than that I have no complaints. I got this on a stupid deal here on Amazon, like $60 out the door, but even at $99 or $120 it would be worth it. You won't regret buying this microphone.

Nice sounding mic but needs a pop filter and a shock mount replacement option.
UPDATED REVIEW: Nice mic. I love the sound. But, it needs, and should have come with, a pop filter. Be cautious! The pop filter Amazon advertises as a fit (the VP3 pop filter) does NOT fit! But, despite what is missing, this mic is clearly well made and sounds really great. Male and female voices are recorded so well without any high end noise. In fact, there is no self-noise. No hum. No crackly. Just clean sound. After using this mic for a few months and being very careful with it, I found that the mic is too heavy for the shock mount. So, if left in one position for too long, the mic sags due to the weight. The bolt finally gave and now the shock-mount is useless. It's VERY difficult getting in touch with the CAD service team. There doesn't seem to be any replacement options available for a shock mount. So, beware; great mic but the shock mount is fragile and there's no replacement options once it fails. The mic can mount on a stand, sideways, without a shock mount, but it could pick up floor rumble.

Great Mic
The microphone was fantastic but had issues with my Elgato Wave XLR. There was some sort of distortion coming from the interface but as soon as I hooked it up to my Scarlett Solo gen 3 it sounded fantastic!

Good not great
Sound quality is ok, rubber band snapped and the non standard mounting is a bit of a turn off after a while and restricts use cases for me.

Mounting system makes it pointless.
It stays attached to a mount using TWO FRAIL RUBBER BANDS. When it breaks under the slightest tension you have to disassemble the entire thing and use pliers or a similar tool to feed the very fine rubber band back through the holes, and you have to do this every single time it comes undone. Not even worth the low price considering that this mic is extremely sensitive. You’ll have to soundproof your entire room including your desk and walls in order to reduce background noise enough to use the thing effectively, and even then it will pick up traffic outside, the fabric of your clothes rubbing, and so on. Photo is from Booth Junkie’s video titled “a sad day” where he illustrates exactly what I’m referring to. It was actually the only photo I could find about the rubber bands considering how common and known this issue is. Just buy a Rode NT1. They actually have well-designed products.

Insane Value Condenser
The E100Sx is a ridiculous deal at the price it goes for nowadays. Picked one up for $64 a year or so back and absolutely adore it. Very rich dark tones, the shock mount is great, and the hi-pass filter cleans up any mud very effectively. One of the best microphones you can buy for the cost no doubt

Smooth, even sound for a great price.
As a professional voice actor, my go-to mics are the Sennheiser MKH416 and Neumann U87. But I wish I knew about this mic when I started! The E100Sx is a more mellow, darker sound than the E100S, which I thought I'd dislike since the 416 is my daily driver, but the detail this mic captures gives you plenty of room to work with if you want to add EQ. Even raw, it sounds great. Personally, I think its specific polar pattern makes it easier to work with in a so-so treated space when compared to similarly priced LDCs. Also it's the same mic Justin McElroy and Travis McElroy use. This is my go-to for podcasts. Extra tip? Use the CAD VP3 pop filter with this mic. It takes a little finesse getting it to fit at first, but once it's on the mic, it's a perfect match.

Da prendere al volo
Microfono che vale molto di più di quello che costa. Una volta questa casa faceva microfoni di fascia alta, adesso avrà cambiato segmento ma a questo prezzo è regalato.

CAD Equitek E100Sx microphone
This is a highly recommendend mic used by podcasters, streamers and voiceover performers. Highly detailed and articulate this mic punches way above its weight. Give it a go and you will be pleasantly surprised. Absolutely no regrets in buying or recommending.

For the Price nothing comes close to it.
I have akg c414 xlx. You can compare to it and the difference is 8/10. Shocker product Highly recommended.

Sounds good But arrived Broken
Sound is good for the price but it came with a broken shock mount that had to be fixed and the CAD logo just doesn’t exist on the mic. I looked in the box and no sign of it. Pretty bad QC..

Great sound and very underrated.
Very underrated mic and brand. I have the very early versions of the E100 which sound amazing and these are similar. Slightly brighter and not quite as plummy sounding as the original E100 but very good and deal nicely with hard and fast transients. As others mentioned the mounting rubber rings are the weak point and could potentially be an issue! A stronger mounting option would be a good thing.
