Doorbell Transformer 24V 40VA Thermostat Transformer

A few of my neighbors bought wired Ring doorbells and they needed to replace/upgrade their doorbell transformer. This did that job perfectly. Easy to install (for surface mount applications) and it just works. I would recommend this product.

I bought this to replace a 24vac bell transformer I got at Home Depot that was "multi voltage" but poor quality and didn't put out enough current for my setup. I have a doorbell camera that requires steady 24VAC with a steady output of current to activate the bell and keep working properly. Dead on arrival. I've ordered two of these 24VAC transformers for my doorbell cameras. BOTH have arrived DOA. There is zero voltage on the output. I'm a retired electrician, and yes, I know my Volt/ohm meter works. This looked like a good replacement for my previous 16v doorbell transformer (24v and 40VA now required by most doorbell devices; Ring, Tapo etc) so I'll be re-ordering, but a different brand.
