Men's Shaver for Traveler ES-RS10-A Blue | DC3V (2 x AA Alkaline) (Japan Model)

This is the second time I am buying this model of travel shaver(the first this time on Amazon). The first shaver lasted nearly 4 years. I was fully satisfied with it. I use it every day as a secondary follow-up shaver, after first completing my shave with a regular sandwich blade wet razor and thoroughly drying my face. I find it excellent to remove the left over shorter stubble, especially in the nooks and crannies around the nose and mouth, and also generally all over the face. In the end, you are left with the smoothest shave ever. I had to discard the first shaver because one of the two battery contacts - the negative pole contact of the battery slot on the left hand side after you open the case - broke. I found that the battery placed in this inner slot wasn't fitting tightly, resulting in a loose contact, and the shaver needed to be shaken every now and then to get it working again. I find this same defect in the new set which I have bought. Perhaps it was the constant vibration of the shaver working on the loose metal contact over a period of time which led to it snapping in my first shaver. I have solved the loose contact problem in the new shaver which I have just bought by placing a thin strip of transparent flexible plastic sheet over the two batteries before sliding the battery cover shut. I think the manufacturer needs to address the problem of the defective metal negative contact, as also the cover not fitting tightly over the batteries after it is slid shut.

Does its job smoothly

I'm amazed. This is a powerful little shaver that gives a very close shave. Panasonic makes an excellent product and I am sorry that they discontinued production of this model. This shaver was made in Japan

A small travel shaver gives a good shave. I have always used a blade razor, but if I have not shaved for 4 days, I get razor burn, so I use the Panasonic shaver to take most of the stubble off, then it's easy with the wet razor . Made in Japan, its quality

It's about 7 years old today. It's great for travel, or as a backup shaver like this week when i have misplaced my main shaver (doh!, where did i leave it !!!). My next main shaver will be a Panasonic ... that's how much this little guy has impressed me.

Fantastic little travel razor. It actually shaves closer than my larger Braun unit at home. In fact I use this at home a lot to get those hard to get places a larger shaver misses sometimes. Very small and light so great for travel. Take extra AA batteries for long trips.
