The yarn doesnt split, its great quality which is a good job as ive got more in another colour! On the small loom 24pegs this 100g makes 1and a half pairs of adult socks. If hand knitting then you can make kiddies socks which would then get more out of the ball. Did i mention the great price?!?!?!

This yarn is STUNNING. Nice and chunky, haven't encountered any splitting or snagging and the colours are just... wow. Texture is perhaps a little coarse if you prefer softer garments, but as I'm using this for a poncho for cold weather it feels like it's going to be perfect with plenty of warmth and a nice weight to it! Totally happy with the price I paid and am not too worried about the overall cost of the project based on this... though I don't know how many I'll end up needing to buy so we'll see! I'm crocheting this project and have been using a standard double crochet stitch and 4mm hook, though I'm still a beginner so that information may or may not be helpful!

Knits up lovely! Colour is variegated from grey to dark blue. Got a discount because I purchased 6 balls ( I think the discount was applied for buying 4 but it'll confirm in the description).
