Don’t believe much of what I read. But I needed a cam so I got these 2. They are small so I thought dang. Yet they feel solid, quality like, well put together. Kinda lazy to read the instructions for install. So I just put them up w a simple screwdriver that’s it. Then the connectivity. Easy peachy and simple to understand. Next, the night quality picture surprised me really clear. One is by a rose bush which I water daily but the water don’t bother the camera. Summary, great product, good software , good security especially for the price. N you get two woo hoo. So I have recommended to my close ones already. Update on 12/27/2024. Cameras are outside. I replaced my router so one camera wouln not synch the ither two hooked up very easy. This one didnt. Call tech support on 2nd try i got NICO she was courteous, knowledgeable and supr helpful. After doing a diagnostic. She set me up to replace the camera. TLk about great service. Thanks Nico and LaView. Cinco5 stars

There is nothing to dislike about how these cameras function. They installed seamlessly into my system of LaView cameras of all types. A simple camera scan of the UPC symbol that presents itself on my phone and it's done, set up...finished and functioning. The only limiting factor is my internet service not being what it should be...and the only affect that has is a slight delay in live view streaming that would not exist at all if I had better ISP service. I can access my live view with sound and two way communication from anywhere at any time. I can replay locally recorded content from the cameras SD card which records 24/7, non-stop. I can keep several days at a time and the system simply records over the oldest day first once the card becomes full. Additionally, the cloud service holds event recordings for 2 weeks (on the subscription I use, 30 days on the other plan). So if someone should destroy the camera and SD card, I still have the evidence needed to know what's happening. The event recording and the push notification of movement detected takes place so quickly, that 99.9% of the time the object moving thru the frame that is the trigger is captured in the notification. This is a major problem with most other systems at this price level and many that are more expensive. The night vision is beyond fantastic. These have a spotlight feature that illuminates the area upon motion detection and can also use AI Human Body detection to be more discerning about what takes up recording storage space saving memory. I strongly recommend the Laiew system to anyone wanting survailance security, whether it's one PTZ camera with motion tracking, or multiple stationary 2k cameras like these...or any combination thereof. Do not hesitate to install this very user friendly, quality system. The cameras available will fit any circumstance imaginable and ALL have 2 way communication. This is the best affordable system available on the market today that are way more capable than any others I've researched at the same price point. Simply put.... simply AWESOME !!!! As you can see in my uploads, the picture is crystal clear and when the infrared night vision is activated, the picture is still just as clear albeit black and white, of course.

Second time buying this set of cameras and I like that it’s easy to configure and set up. The video quality is clear and the night vision is great. I love that when the motion detector is on at night, it has a spot light that comes on and it lights up the place really well. It has Bluetooth function and a siren so you can scare off intruders. The only thing I don’t really like is that you need to buy the cloud in order to store your recordings if you didn’t purchase and SD cards to put in it. The 4 cameras that I currently have has 128 GB SD cards and they work really well with it. Definitely recommend getting these cameras. Will be buying more soon.

Was skeptical at first seeing how the first cameras I bought for a similar price didn't want to connect what so ever and they made you pay a subscription, but these despite being small, are very nice. Decent quality video wise,very discreet as well. The cons I would say would be it doesn't have a sim card which it doesn't claim too, and when you hang them upside down like in the picture it makes the surveillance upside down. Is easily fixed with the included stick pads. Hands down I will be buying another set of two. Super easy to install and connect to the phone as well.

I bought the 2 pack of cameras, I have installed these facing my driveway under the overhang of our turnside garage. I also installed motion sensored LED floodlights so my driveway lights up like a surgical room if approached. These cameras work well in the dark when the lights are off, but when they are on I get the great picture and full color. These cameras are powered by a USB connection, and they connect via your home network to the LaView App. It is very easy to set up btw. I ordered USB extension cables off Amazon. and the cameras come with the correct brick for plugging into the outlet I have in the garage attic. All very easy to set up if you at all handy. I used silicone grommets (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09MT34X2B/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1) to seal up the hole in the overhang where I drilled for the power cord hole to go through. This worked really well. Finally, I have an Alexa Show 5, and it was easy to link the two cameras to it so, at home, I can ask Alexa to show me either camera, and it's very clear. Away from home I can use the App. In all, I'm very happy with these, and we will see how they hold up over time, but so far, so good!

So I've tried these cameras out for about 3 months now. I have gow through several cameras in the last year to replace my phone camera which work amazing but the app is still very new and I nrhe process of making rinda better but I was tired of being a gunies pig and it just wasn't recording incidents that I need a full recording of. So here I am in the smart boat except LaViews cameras as just awful. Now I'm stuck with 4 camera that I don't even use. So here are all the cons I can think of. 1- Pricing is terrible. They have a package deal for 3 cameras and 5 cameras. I only had 4 cameras so of course I got the package for 5 but I felt like I was paying for an extra camera I did not have. 2- so I recently checked my credit card statements and I was billed by LaView so many extra times and I was granted a free month for the cameras not recording properly but I don't see a free month on my billing statement. Quit the opposite 3- cameras picked up motion but would start recording after the motion took place. So I'd there wa a person walking by like my back porch, it would show the person already 100 ft away from my camera so I couldn't really tell if it was someone I knew it not. 4- even from short distances, if you zoomed in on the cameras I still couldn't get a clear view as to what I was looking at so truly the cameras were no good for an evidence which cops come to me as I live in a apartment complex that is filed with violence and they ask for footage quit often and these cameras not only didn't pick up on half of the scene but also the clarury of subjects was very questionable. 5- customer service will respond to you but they have yet to resolve a y of my issues and I'm asking what I should do with these 4 cameras I'm stuck with and also asked about all these charges days ago and sti waiting for a response 6- if you don't have such threats at your home and you have very little going on and you don't pan o meeting robbed I guess these would be an ok camera to keep on eye on your plants when you aren't home. Cause if you have any movement in your home or outsie, it might get caught on camera if your lucky. Thanks LaView for a 4 month stint of headaches and uncertainty.

This is my second camera set I bought from LaView. I bought a pair of PB9 last year and they are still working great. This new pair of cameras are excellent. They are smaller, lightweight, easier to install (they are magnetic) and the resolution is 2k up from 1080p. As you can see from the photos, the package includes everything you need to install it inside or outside. The magnet is strong enough to hold the camera and It will take you less than 5 minutes to download the app and install the camera to the smarthphone. Remember to be connected in a 2.4 wifi network because it will sync the wifi to the camera. I tested the cameras with a 128gb micro sd card. It will record approximately 8 to 9 days in continuous mode in the micro sd card. If you set it up using only motion detection it will record much more. I transferred a couple of videos to my computer and the resolution is great. A 5 minutes clip is around 40mb in size. The two-way audio communication is clear and the speakers are loud. The spotlight is bright enough considering the size of the camera. Overall, I think this is an excellent camera and I highly recommend it. Like I said before, I have one year with my PB9 cameras from LaView and so far I don't have any issues. I'm confident these B5 models will be excellent as well.

*Update* The seller reached out to me following this review and offered a full refund. They stand behind their products, can’t argue with that. Thumbs up for the seller! Received 2 cameras Aug 2024, set up was fine. Nice picture and audio, Worked pretty well as long as cameras were close 20’ of Router. They were both mounted outside and under eaves. One stopped connecting completely and the other needs to be appropriately 10’ from router now or it won’t connect. Tried resetting cameras and router. I have other brand PTZ cameras but thought I’d try these static aim cameras because price was reasonable. Will try to return and update the outcome.
