LOVE LOVE These Adirondack Chairs from Polywood
There's nothing like a nice comfy Adirondack Chair in your yard, especially with the type of view we're more than fortunate enough to have. We went on a mission to find quality chairs, which wouldn't be difficult to put together, were well made, and would stand up to the hot, humid sun in Florida. Reading review after review, some chairs appeared nice enough, until you read how difficult and time consuming they were to put together. The reviews for these chairs from Polywood, were uniformly excellent. Since we're not exactly handy, easy to put together was important. So we took the plunge and ordered two. They came today and to say we're VERY pleased is an understatement. They are for the most part, already put together. All you have to do is put them in the right position, install two Polywood pieces and and a bolt on each arm, tighten and enjoy. It took two of us no more than 5 minutes per chair. It simply can't get any simpler. These chairs are foldable, but you'd have to do in reverse what you did to put them together, so not likely something we'd do very often anyway. We love the vibrant color and Polywood says the chairs are weatherproof, won't splinter, crack, chip, peel, or rot when exposed to the elements. They may not be the least expensive Adirondack chairs you can buy and they're certainly not the most expensive either. For us, they were the quality we wanted, at a reasonable price, incredibly easy to put together and should last the test of time. It doesn't get better than this, no it doesn't!

Great, sturdy product that is easy to assemble
I am a big fan of Polywood Adirondack foldable chairs. I had 6 of these chairs now and they are really easy to assemble; I can probably do it in less than 5 minutes. The first time I put one together, I had trouble figuring out the right configuration because the back of the chair needs to be in front of the horizontal bar in the back (and not behind it) so you have to keep that in mind. But after that, itโs just hammering in the two bolts and securing the bolt and nut with a with a wrench and enclosed Allen wrench and thatโs it! My only knock is that you need to inspect the chair to make sure everything was preassembled correctly. I have received a chair or 3 where the armrests were not level, or the back slats were not secured right or the hardware was missing. The shipping box will most likely arrive damaged and with holes given the size of the product, but the product itself should be able to take the beating. I have never had an issue returning a damaged item, but it is pretty heavy so I always request free UPS pickup.

Study and bright color
Ordered one because I wasnโt sure how it would look in person and hold up, but I quickly ordered a second one in a different color because I loved it so much. Really sturdy, great quality and very comfortable. Polywood is the way to go!

Polywood is Worth the Price
Over the last 5 years, we have bought 4 Polywood Adirondack chairs for our back yard. At first, we couldn't justify spending $200 + for an outdoor chair but now we can. These chairs are made with composite Polywood material and provides UV protection. There is minimal assembly required. After 5 years exposed the backyard, our chairs still look great. At first, we bought them because they were foldable and we would be able to store them away from the elements but honestly, where we live in So. California, near the coast, there is no need. We brought two of our chairs to our vacation home in the desert area and they are holding up well there in the 100 degree heat. They don't have to be stored in windy weather because they're pretty heavy. Of all the patio furniture we've bought over the years, these Polywood Adirondack chairs are the best investment we've ever made!

Classic Adirondack - Only folds before assembly
I ordered 6 of these chairs in black for my front porch and chose this particular chair because of the recycled material and it stated it folded, so I am disappointed that it doesn't easily fold (to fold you would have to remove 2 plastic pins and 2 bolts on each side, then reassemble which I don't think anyone would do to take this chair somewhere for an afternoon). I guess the folding feature would be used if you were to move, but that would be about it. It took me about 10 minutes to assemble each chair from their boxes, with a rubber mallet and wrench of my tools and the little allen wrench provided. There is some flexibility in the chairs, but I believe it is just that type of material, it is the same type as my porch floor and it also was before building the porch, but has been extremely durable. They are also a bit on the small side, as we have bigger people in my family, but overall they are pretty nice, just wish they were a couple inches taller and maybe an inch wider, which some other brands are. My seven year old daughter sat in one, and it fit her comfortably, I am 5ft 9 and thought the seat and backrest could have been longer. I like that this model does not show the screws as much as some other brands of chairs, these are painted black, and often inserted from the back so you don't see at all. They are also pretty heavy, which in my mind is a good thing, as we are on a hill and with them being so low to the ground, hopefully they won't blow off. For the price, I would recommend. They look really really nice, looking forward to using them over the years.

Great chairs!
We have the chaise lounges and I wanted some matching chairs for pool area. They are comfortable and the plywood doesnโt fade. Waiting for pollen season to be over before I put them out. Assembly was easy and done in just a few minutes.

Exactly as I hoped!
I am so happy with these chairs!! Not only is the color exactly as advertised (sand), they are beautiful and extremely comfy! The arms are a little wobbly when tested but not meant to support all your weight anyway. We live on the coast and these chairs are heavy enough to not blow off the dock, but light enough to easily be moved, folded and stored for hurricanes. The real test was the assembly. My husband has little patience for these things (a light hanging project came very close to making him a single man, if you know what Iโm sayinโ). He realized on the first chair that the order of the bolts install was backwards, but after that it was an easy 2 beer project for 6 chairs. Very happy with this purchase - may come back for a few more!

Polywood is the best idea since sliced bread
Ok ... I have bought numerous outdoor patio furniture over the years. Trust me!!!! it is not worth it. Buy polywood or Trex!!! It is as Spock says "The only logical conclusion" It is the only outdoor furniture that are truly investing in over your lifetime. It is UPS indestrustible (and that is saying alot!!!) It would withstand a nuclar explosion, fire rain or tornado. It is honestly an investment. You can sell it after 10 years and it will still look brand new. I live in Colorado, and was not using my conventional patio furniture, because I had to store it, bring it out and put it back. Polywood (or Trex) is a no brainer! set it up and leave it outside forever. I think Polywood makes Trex furniture, which seems like a better design, but also is a little more expensive. I think that the Andirondack chair is very uncomfortable without a cushon, so am bothered to read reviews tha expect it to feel as comfortable as chairs that use webbing. The secret to putting this puppy together is to assemble it upside down. The arms then align perfectly. It took me 30 to assemble only because i did it by myself, an because the construction is solid poly composite, i was not worried about damaging he chair, but rather have a piece fall over while assembling it and break something. The color seems to be a big issue with alot of people. I personally like the mix and match look. All of the hardware is USA grade A and all bolts and are pre-tapped. I have so far purchased 8 or 9 pieces for my deck. I love the idea of never worrying about staining wood or havng to store the chair away for the winter. The only thing I will say is that like everything it will go up in price in years to come, so it would make sense to invest in one piece per year and that way you spread out cost.
