A Charming Story about the American Falls and the economic forces that shape this tourist mecca.
A charming story about an extraordinary natural wonder and the vicissitudes of changing economic powers in a town that is highly dependent on tourism. Niagara Falls is mystical and this novel describes facets of the beliefs about the Falls' power. In addition, the novel portrays the economic rise of the Indian Nations in the Niagara area. It also describes the clash of old Indian beliefs and practices in contrast to a younger generation who have profited from the rise in tribal rights. This book excels in its description of the changes in beliefs held by Native Americans.

Exquisite collection of memories and color
This coffee table size book is a lovely addition to any collection dealing with the British Raj. The paintings and recollections depicted are not the usual collection of India pictures. The author's touch is personal without being maudlin or condescending. Well worth the purchase!
