The holes on the back of my 50" TV are square, side to side 7-3/4" and top to bottom 7-3/4"?

When I bought this, I never even concerned myself with measurements, since it's a universal stand. As long as it includes your TV size, it should be fine...mine was. I'm very happy with it.
